I have a bad feeling the forum is going to change quite a bit in a few days... But have no fear, I shall always remain a devoted Dissidia Forums member to the end!

I can play on Ad Hoc now. lol.
Am I the only one that isn't actually interested in this game? I mean I'm not exactly a big persona fan anyway, so I don't really care about the characters, but beside that it looks almost exactly the same as Blazblue (and I honestly thought that was a pretty poor fighter, in comparison to MvC or Street Fighter etc.).
Thus the question remains, what is so special about this, besides being a genuinely good form of fanservice.

I've never even played a Persona game so.......
Then again this is coming from the guy who didn't know about D&D and ICO until a couple of months ago.
That's the first thing that came into my head also.almost exactly the same as Blazblue

Well, it is done by Arc System Works the creators of BlazBlue. It's only natural that it would look like BlazBlue.
I think you should check out a playthrough of either Persona 3 or 4 before you really decide weather or not you get this game as it is set two years after Persona 4 and I'm sure it'll be more enjoyable if you know what went down in either of those games. P3 and 4 are the best of the series imo. Both games are awesome. By day you are chillin' it up in school and doing random crap after school or in the weekend, and by night you are dungeon crawling the fuck out of Tartarus or chillin in the TV killin' shit. P4 is a little different. You can also pick up chicks.

Basically what this guy said. They were both good RPGs, and if you play those things, then there's a good chance you'll like those games as well. If you're going for the P3 series, then I recommend picking up either P3P (PSP ver.) or P3FES (PS2, + additional story details after in form of "The Answer", which is another 30+ gameplay segment with the difficulty of P3's "Hard Mode").
If not for the fanservice/just being Persona, but you're also a fighting games player, then you should pick it up for that reason as well.

Spoiler:
Except this looks practically identical to Blazblue. Normally the similarities are noticeable but not blatant, like Soulcalibur to Tekken, there are similarities but they don't look like exactly the same game when you play them. I could be wrong, it could be completely different, but everything I've seen suggests that they aren't.
As a fighting games player I simply can't identify anything about this that is particularly special. Hopefully it's a really solid fighter with a reasonably balanced cast (and without too many similarities between it and Blazblue) but as of yet I'm not convinced that it will be.
