Persona 4 Arena gets EU release date

Lets say hopefully for being around and yeah. what kraid said. the europeans are feeling like noobs if they are playing against someone who got the game already. Also Zen United is really not so good with the EU. I mean BB isnt that popular at all in the EU and dont do soo many changes for the games.

To be honest, there is no reason for these kinds of delays anymore. Global releases really shouldn't be much more than a week away from each other. Information is too easily obtained from your target markets. Localizations are becoming much easier. Global shipping has become amazing compared to the situation 10 years ago. Basically the business world is globalizing and in the gaming world, some developers/publishers get that but others are still ignorant to their non-local markets. It hurts their image in the long run =/

Another thing that pisses me off is that they still region lock shit. Seriously... what's it to put a disclaimer before purchasing an item online "Intended for [insert languages] speaking audiences". People can buy at their own risk. It also gives more flexibility in that if they develop a product with multiple languages from the get go, importing as soon as it's released is a possibility for other countries/continents.

The whole reason why it was region locked was to prevent so called "Reverse-Importation" by Japanese. Since it would be 25$ cheaper for them if they did..as said by Atlus. But I've honestly never heard of this before.

So basically Japanese enjoy a larger markup on their games... and they're trying to enjoy it while they can...

Before making any sort or comment, I'd need to look into Japanese economics (which I'll be honest - I won't do right now) but on assumption alone, I'd assume they don't get as gouged on a lot of "staples" like we do in NA - allowing for more disposable income. Just a guess, though.

To be honest, I've noticed it seems to be games that are related to Atlus that are now heavily delayed in Europe. They're the biggest offenders right of now.

Hell I don't even care about this game, but I have noticed alot of their games get really delayed, renamed or not even released in Europe OR are so rare that it might be a shock to even find a single copy of the game.

And then what? The Video Game Market has also recently decided to release some of their games as online only. No, not PSN only, but you can only get the game if you order it online. I had to do this with both my Disgaea 4 AND Ultimate Marvel Versus Capcom 3.

It's quite irritating to check the news everyday and just find about new combos people are inventing while I sit, waiting for it's eventual release.

Meh, I've got a friend who will get this, so I'll definitely try it, but I still think the fighting system looks kinda retarded.

I agree with Kraid about having to wait a month. It makes being a noob so much harder when most of the people you are playing already have a grasp on the mechanics and gameplay.

well, to be honest. i've played all shin megami tensei persona titels, all but the 1st. im kinda in the beat em' up fever, so i'd like to play blazblue and other things. so of course i really wanna play P4 Arena, and i am from EU lol. but so far i know is the release 31th august(for EU) so i was surprised to find this thread, cuz i know that since 3 months, that P4 Arena, will be released on august. and i hope it has no unplayable delay, like an EU ddf against an jp ddff xD. it would be terrible.
