    Default Closing

Can't do without a closing for the tournament and without giving out the proper rewards! Allow me to present to you the winners of Summer Wars and the stunning signature prizes made by Kayarine.

    1st Place - DART

We have Dart as the Champion of the Summer Wars, finishing off with a perfect record of winning all his six rounds. Dart (and his team as well) has shown that practice and diligence goes a long way in improving your technique and getting better if you put your mind to it. The effort that Dart put behind each of his rounds, combined with one hell of a crafty mind for all sorts of builds, has made this a very deserving position!

    2nd Place - CIPHER

The runner up is the well known Lightning mainer, Cipher. With his exceptional proficiency in paradigm shifting, Cipher's Lightning is truly a sight to see. Unique in how he handles her, there's absolutely no way to truly train against a Lightning like his. He awed and impressed his way through the bracket, first losing to his teammate LXD in the Winner's Bracket, but later winning a rematch in the deciding round of LB Finals!

    3rd Place - LXD92

While for LXD this is just a "foreverthird" place, placing third in a major is nothing to scoff about. In fact this is the first time in a long time we have a European player place in top three! LXD is one of the rare players who has been steadfast on his main, using him throughout the entire tournament without fail. In a game that can easily be played through counterpicking, LXD has shown that dedication to your main truly pays off.

    Challenge Winner - SOLID SOK

Lastly we have Solid Sok as the pioneer of a character that everyone has overlooked and underestimated. Running both challenges, Solid Sok has turned heads with his Vaan-wielding Shantotto and put his opponents through a world of hurt. Solid has finished thirteenth with Shantotto only, making a statement to "not underestimate the lady!"

It's absolutely refreshing to see new faces in the top three, and I hope you guys are ready to defend that title in the next major. For now, though, bask in your accomplishments and congratulations to all of you! So claim your signatures and be sure to express your thanks to Kaya!

And allow me to express my thanks to everyone involved in making this tournament a reality. First and foremost, these majors still run for one reason. You. Without players willing to compete, these events will have no reason of being hosted. You guys make the effort worth it, and it is you guys that make these events happen in the first place. These events do not only rely on the hosts; that's only half of what it takes. The other half depends all on you and how seriously you decide to take these tournaments. So allow me to express my gratitude to everyone who has participated, because it is all of you who keep the game alive.

As for the people involved in helping host the tournament, we had a huge help from Khell, LonelyGaruga, and Chaos in allowing for smooth match procedures by always being there to do the blindpicking for our participants. And a thanks especially to Chaos for streaming the tournament's finals and RDF for continuing in uploading all the matches that occur, providing us the viewing pleasure of the entire tournament. I'd also like to thank Draec for helping me host this monster of a tournament and also help pay for the prizes.

Speaking of prizes, be sure to check your pm boxes soon! I will be contacting all of the winners regarding the transaction!

Once again, congratulations to the winners! With the team wars season starting soon, I hope to see you all training hard for the next upcoming major!

Be master of your petty annoyances and conserve your energies for the big, worthwhile
things. It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out - it's the grain of sand in your shoe.
