Hence why I said:I am sure people buy this box set up like candy. Also, I am a collector; why else would I have bought Tifa's DLC code for $135 USD? I just see nothing which truly catches my interest. Especially since most of these are just re-issues of ports.

Also, I love how they excluded FFXIV from the set. This truly shows Square Enix's embarrassment of the game.

Probably due to the fact there is no FFXIV for the Playstation systems yet and probably won't be until after this is released. (+ It's past the 25 years since FFI first came out... so yeah.)

At the time of this posting, ¥35,000 JPY is $443.46 USD.

In my opinion, it is not worth it. Especially since we all probably own these games in the first place. Plus, PS1 and PS2 discs, what the hell? Is Square Enix seriously just re-issuing older formats instead of throwing everything on two-to-three blu-ray discs? Not to mention newer PS3 models cannot even emulate PS2 discs, PS1 loading speeds are just awful.

Sure, all the bonus stuff is neat, but all of this extra artwork and the soundtracks are available to begin with. Plus, any new bonus art will be scanned online once this box set is released.

I honestly see no value in this aside from it being a "collector's item". :/

I think you guys are missing my point.

Tifa's DLC was new content. I wanted to legitimately own all my Duodecim DLC, so I bought the code.

This "ultimate" box set is just a collection of games, images, and soundtracks I already own or have access to with a "25th Anniversary" logo slapped on. :x

Has this already been released ( i mean has it been out for a long time, I don't remember hearing about one..but then again I stopped playing in february)

The DLC or the Ultimate Box? The DLC has been out in all regions for a while, the Ultimate Box however isn't out until December.
