    Default Healing is so tedious!!!

I have giving this game three chances.. (in the past year) and I'm stuck at the same place at chapter 1. I always get stuck at "Sage's Path Gateway". Why? Because there is no damn healing between battles!

When I get into Sage's Path Gateway there is several fights before the boss which I make trough quick, but when I am at the boss my health is almost at 0-10%, so what am I gonna do?... Get some EX Core? I'm dead before that's even available on the field with the boss.

And that's my other point. EX Code/Mode is real crap. In all other fighting games/rpg's, a limit break is usually made by making combos and it's not the main priority for healing!. This is is tedious because to even be able to heal, you need to be in a battle and wait for the EX Core is on the field like 5+ times before the meter is full to be able to use EX Mode and heal which means you gotta run on the field and not trying to get hit for like 5 minutes (it can take even longer if your enemy/boss takes the EX Core's first. I hate to chase it!!!)... even in the first tutorial battle which explains EX Mode takes so long to get the ex meter full, just killing the enemy would take less then a minute.

Some people say there is no need for heal in fighting games, and there isn't because in regular fighting games you always start with full heal each battle. Other people says it's a RPG so that's the reason for not healing after every battle, that's understandable, but in RPG's YOU CAN GET POTIONS TO HEAL BETWEEN BATTLES!.

I hate this game because of it's healing. Damn, it's even called Final Fantasy and you're stuck using Lighting as your character, which even in her game (FF13) heals after every battle (which is a typical RPG game that shouldn't auto-heal after battle).. Square Enix has been a such a stupid company since PS2 era..

    What should I do?

    1) you try to don't be touched before EX-Cores are appearing
2)Get better and kill the boss with 10% or less health as you said
    3) Get better equips and accessories
    3)Use EXP->Hp if you are at lvl100
4)Use Succubus's Soul if you are at lvl100
    5) there are actually "Skills" in story named heal which can regen you between battles SO YOU CAN TAKE POTIONS BETWEEN BATTLES --'

Oh and EX Mode is way more useful that what you think.

PS:" Damn, it's even called Final Fantasy and you're stuck using Lighting as your character"

Humm... why should you be stucked using Light? lol

I tried to change the character at the start menu somehow, but all I could do is to customize them all but can't use any other character in story/game ?:s

btw. the only Skill I have is the chaining when not in battle.

Ah okay I didn't see you were at the beginning of the game sorry ^^

So yea there aren't any potions at this moment but with some practice (the chapter 1 is pretty easy) you might be able to defeat all of those without losing 1Hp ^^ Just keep on practicing ^^

It's ridiculously easy unless you're taking on high lvl manikins on a low lv lightning. It takes a while to get used to the game, so practice makes perfect!

    Good Point. <_>

Anyhow, I suggest you figure out the AI's abilities, such as attacks and everything and learn how to dodge them; as well as learn how to use your character effectively(took me a LONG TIME to figure out a good tactic for Lightning).
