I found the ending quite heartbreaking. I was thoroughly upset when the house I grew up in was repainted. I can't imagine the heartbreak I'd have if I found it simply gone.

I was half-expecting the big twist to be that Rikka wasn't bullshitting anyone... not sure if I like it more that her delusions are a coping mechanism.
