Hello. Just this night I was attempting to play Dissidia 012 on adhoc party. at first, I couldn't see the other room members at all, they could challenge me, but it would always fail. To fix this I port forwarded my router.
Afterwards, we got a match set up and it was unbearably lag-tastic. To fix that, I went back to the router again, and added this http://dissidiaforums.com/archive/index.php/t-3587.html
When we finally got another match, it was much better, but still somewhat bad. Overall there are still a lot of "not seeing other rooms/people" and even more disconnects.
so overall my 3 problems are:
Not seeing rooms/people in rooms
Disconnections
and Slight lag.
Again, I have tried to port forward my router. The router itself is actually fairly new, its a Actiontec MI424WR Router specifically. Is there anything I missed? Did I mess something up in my port forwarding attempt?
Any help is much appreciated and I thank you for taking the time to read this.

Those two are the same thing, they are both portforwarding.
Try to put your Ps3 into DMZ and enable Upnp instead of portforwarding: http://dissidiaforums.com/showthread...04-Adhoc-Party
When he dmzed his ps3 we had much less lag but had trouble setting up the initial connection for the match (aka I could sed his friend card and challenge him but he wouldn't see it or it would cut out on the char select screen).

There must be something else then, such as a firewall he has to disable.

Connecting the Ps3 directly to the modem always obliterates all connections issues since they don't have security layers to bypass like routers, though going that route kind of undermines the point of having a router.
