Summons: What to use?

I didn't want to be blunt, but let's look at the thread title, shall we? "Summons: What to Use?" Not "Help Beating Chaos?" If that's what I wanted, I would have put it in the appropriate thread.

I just had a question regarding the automatic summon selection thing (because I don't use it) that was tangentially connected to my utter hatred for Chaos.

I beat Chaos in Shade Impulse. I don't need an explanation of how to dodge his attacks. Although using Reel Axe to attack during his downtime instead of Straight Arrow might be marginally more efficient, so thanks for that.

To make up for it... I know there was a thread about this, but it's buried and maybe some people don't know about it (but apologies if it's common knowledge for all), so I'm going to mention it.

Alexander could be used with an Extra HP to BRV build, since the BRV will keep increasing even while under Alexander's effect. It's pretty cool to see your BRV increasing while it doesn't decrease when hit by BRV attacks or after landing a HP hit.
I think that could be useful for Firion and the Emperor, since they can keep their HP up with Blood Weapons/Magic, or to other characters that benefit from continuous EX mode. I'm not sure in which cases it'd be the most effective, but just leaving this info here.

Yes, it was partially my fault. Hence why I saw the need to be more direct.

That's awesome, & it would be even more efficient since I have EXP->HP, but I wonder if I have the items for that?

Are really the only things you need for an advanced EXP>whatever setup.

I don't think I have Excalibur/II or Super/Ribbon.

One of the areas where I've been rather slipshod is item gathering.

online codes help (unfortunately, i found them after I was already 200+ hours into the game), and so does Arcade Mode, to get those invaluable stones and megalixirs from. This is totally on topic

^^^^^ this topic is meant 4 best summoning although there is no such thing as best summoning IMO since they are all situational, although i always use cactuar since its reliable, may give my opponent an early break, always works, and may protect me from losing a match.

Well, I just prefer Manual summons, but not Ultros. I hate my summon going haywire because I don't think the situation is not right. Also, summon unused bonus.

Also, Jecht in EX mode + Alexander + Fully charged Attacks + about 6000 BRV = A weaker Demondance(or some sort of like that)

Though my personal favorites are Tonberry, Iron Giant and PuPu. Tonberry really is deadly if you get Wall Rushed.
