I hate to diverge too terribly much, but have you played "Muramasa: The Demon Blade" for the Wii? In it, one of the protagonists, Momohime, is possessed by a warrior named Jinkuro. When Jinkuro is possessing Momohime, Momohime goes by "Momohime Jinkuro." Might that be a fair enough precedent?

If it behooves you, we could call him "Carlbob."

Carl does evoke that sense of "47-year old pedo-neighbor in a wife-beater," but I feel that Dissidia's Warrior can effectively reclaim it.
