Like any other Final Fantasy, Dissidia also has Summons. Summons in Dissidia, most of the time, inflict changes to your and your opponent's Brave Points. Most Summons can be used up to 3 times, before they have to recharge.
To equip a Summon, go to the customize menu and choose the Summons option. In there, pick the first option to equip a Summon. Option 3 lets you select a set of 5 Summons, that are to be switched with your main Summon, when it has exceeded its amount of uses.
To Summon, press R + CIRCLE simultaneously. Summons with (AUTO) behind their name are summoned automatically, but the duration of those Summons' effects last shorter.
Below is a list of all Summons available. Most of the information came from me, but plenty also came from wikia.com.
