My only advice: Its all visual. When the hit procs, press the button. PrismRed and Ixion and a million other people have Jecht combo video's and tutorials that TELL you when to initiate the combo.

I don't really see a point to this thread when we already have threads/videos about this stuff.

...Which is why I stayed away from this topic as I didn't see a point to this discussion at all.

Learning exactly when to initiate the next combo is all apart of the learning curb of mastering Jecht and is something you can only properly learn by yourself.

While I don't see much harm in having someone else deeply elaborate on Jecht's combos, I'd rather realize on my time with my own skill to back me up.

Continue this discussion if you want, but I will leave knowing I gave my two cents on the situation.

Completely agree Cert. I only spoke out because its redundant to have so many "How do I combo with Jecht" threads. We don't want that to be the only thing the Jecht boards have you know.

Went in today and played without sound... did fine with my most used combos (Stream to TG and Rush to UJS or TG) but messed up on my blade combos quite a bit. So while I'm fine now, I definitely used audio to learn the timing in the first place. Though I'm also primarily an auditory learner. Keep your learning preferences in mind when practicing.

I talked with a few of my friends and 3 main methods came up (which I'm sure you're all aware of) but some liked the visual (watching Jechts motions) others liked the audio like me (the sound of each hit in the combo and which ones to hit the buttons at) and finally strict timing (time elapsed since last button press)... When I thought about it and messed around with it today, I personally can use all three now that I'm comfortable (was able to even get a high success rate with the audio off and eyes shut. Like 40-60% getting to an HP link on my more used combos.)

Anyways, everyone learns differently and I'm confident that whatever method you choose to learn, as long as you put the time into perfecting the combos - everything will eventually come naturally.

These are MY tips and while some people obviously disagree with what I have to say, it worked for me and I am trying to be as objective as possible so take whats useful in this post and disregard whatever you don't feel is useful. Hope it helped.

well, when jecht execute his combos, red rings will like appear on him, giving you the visual que to tap O again. for chaining the hp atts, i just use him for 2 days and got the feel of it so i can chain it without the sound

yeah thats how i learned to pull off jecht's combos when i see the red ring i tap again the the button to continue to attack the finish it with hp attack. my classmates complain that they cannot see the red circles they only see the fadded one, fadded ones appear if you did the wrong solid red circles appear if you pull it off correctly.
with sound or not you can still do it if you see the small circle appear then you press the O again to continue this small circle enlarges as if like explode indicating that you did it correctly.

I use audio cues for example the air TG combo. After the two kicks press circle then after he says hows that while spinning press down circle then when he say i will give it to you and those two strike happen use TG. For me it was a matter of listening an creating a pattern results may vary if your doing ad hoc and lag is factored in; Hope this helped.
