I've been a member of many forums, though I always seem to fade away after a while. Hopefully it won't be the case here, since I want to get in on the competitive play and see what I can learn from you guys.

The thing is, I guess, I didn't get my hands on the japanese version. I played the english demo quite a bit, but my PSP died. I bought the dissidia pack that comes with a PSP, and I have a PS3, so I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get into the ad-hoc stuff. I'm just behind in terms of sheer experience.

For now, I've been looking at youtube and gamefaqs (which is where I found out about this place) and I can genuinely say I'm interested in the community here.

I'll have to play a while before I figure out my main. The demo doesn't seem to totally represent the entire movelist for those characters, so it's hard to say who I'm leaning toward. I've seen some Squall videos that make him look pretty badass.

Other than that.. I'm pretty easy-going. I go to college as a literature major and plan to be a writer someday. Or something involved in writing, we'll see.

Welcome to the Forums. It's pretty easy to catch on to (Hell, I figured it out without any knowledge of japanese, and very limited access to FAQs, so it should be a cinch.)

All I can recommend is to play every character at least once or twice to find someone you like, and then stick with it. You'll be glad for the experience.

I can get you a code that will let you experiment with most characters in the demo if you would like, you have to have CFW or psp action replay or some crap.
