WoL Button Lock

I'm surprised there isn't a topic to discuss whether or not this is legit. Anyways, we all know about WoL's aerial shield attacks, seeing as that is one lethal punisher that's also a combo opener. There happens to be another potential purpose for these attacks, and that's to "button-lock" your opponents. Yeah it's old, but gotta be stated.

I've had this happen to me when fighting Suppi, but now there's some video proof from the Get Salty Tournament; in the form of RDF v.s. Benji in a WoL ditto. What happens is after doing the two aerial shields combo, at times...your foe will just fall helplessly down to the floor. During that whole time, you're locked and cannot seem to do much of anything than just watch. This could open up a new tactic, as I've managed to dash down and land an ascension when coupled with landing lag.

Well if people known about it, they should state it no? That's the whole point of a community neh? So that if a new person comes along and perhaps doesn't know about it, then they can learn and step up their game.

is basically that using Rising > Bucket combo the opponent cannot move at all which mean that WoL can take advantage of landing lag to use Ascension > Rune Saver.

RDF is going to post it. He used it in both matches against me until I started whining and we had a rematch. XD

Basically, it glitches your character to the point where you cannot do anything until you hit ground. In the second "official" match for Shadow Strike, RDF uses it at the ceiling of Dream's End, and I floated all the way down into the BRV pit before I could do anything. I was completely immobilized.

woah, i always thought it was because that atk had a long flinch time, although now that i think about it, it is pretty absurd
