Though the original point I meant to make was that you were banned for your actions when you put said decision into motion, actions which you seem to be either pretending never happened, or "forgot about", which isn't surprising really.

If you drop something, you don't speak of it again. Period. Doesn't matters if others do.
That means you shouldn't respond to this, either, and then this thread can move along and do whatever else it has to.

That being said even if the context in which I used, 'I'll drop it' is wrong the topic was completely different. So I don't see how I'm going against my words and being inconsistent.
I said I'd drop asking for a public reasoning for the ban, I did just that.
I could care less about getting the last word in, just commenting on what Gargua does from an anecdotal and observational experience. If it seems hypocritical then it's purely a misunderstanding.

And my stance on the situation was as follows:I know my ban's reasoning at the end there was probably a bad choice on my part since I was making assumptions, but I didn't know what else to think or do after he decided to storm in with "G'day fucknuts" with the sole purpose of testing our patience and seeing how far he could go in making us agitated. It was pretty fucking stupid.
He came a day or two later, unbanned by the IRC systems as shuru tells me. We humored him for a while and did poke some fun at him as an entire group (I'll let you be the judge of that as I can't judge myself for that due to my natural bias against him). However, when I rebanned him at the end of that second session, my primary reasoning behind re-instituting the ban was that I didn't know why he got unbanned and since it was never explained to me, I thought it was a mistake in the system (which I just learned today that it was) so I put the ban into effect again.
Now, when I initially banned him, I didn't have a perma-ban in mind. I didn't have a 1-month ban in mind either. I wasn't thinking about a time-frame. I just did it then and there because he was acting really out of line. You're probably all aware by now that Garuga and I do have some natural-born bias against this kid. However, objectively speaking, I can't help but feel that trotting into IRC with the sole intent of deciding how badly you can piss off the people in charge -is- worthy of a perma-ban. I mean, really. Who the fuck does that? Shuru also made a good point to me in query just a few moments ago as well;
Again, I don't like this kid. I'm biased. However, I'm trying my best to look at this with an unbiased and objective viewpoint and I don't see anything else working out aside from a perma-ban. If he was just having a bad day, yeah, fine, I would understand unbanning him then. However, he came onto IRC and decided to see how close he could get to pissing us off. Called us pansies, called us fucknuts, directly teased and made fun of shuru...the works. This attitude is not something we need in DDFFCasual. That's why I personally don't believe his innocent defense act he's putting up now. I think it's bullshit.

Plain and simple, the staff of DDFFCasual at the time took a vote, and voted in favor of keeping you banned.

I want to make a brief announcement (though I can't guarantee this will be brief).
With Kaya stepping down from her position as the main admin of #DDFFCasual, she passed things on to me. With the recent change to move away from #Dissidia, I want to clear up some things.
The channel is -not- owned by DF. We are affiliated with the forum, but not owned or run by the forum (I'll cover this below).
1) The channel's original purpose was to create a matchmaking environment that was not run by the forums. It still caters to that effect, but not necessarily in the way that it used to. By bringing in the staff members of DF to help moderate (those that weren't already doing so), I unknowingly violated that purpose. I intend to make this right.
Our list of Moderators in the channel will be as follows:

2) The switch to send people from #Dissidia to #DDFFCasual was probably misunderstood and not worded properly by anyone involved. I apologize that there was even any hint of confusion among people regarding this situation. #DDFFCasual is separate from the forums and I intend to keep it that way. Mass also never intended for the Forum to "own" #DDFFCasual, as he wished for no part in dealing with issues from the IRC. The IRC and Forum were meant to be kept separate, so I will do just that. This change is not necessarily a change as that is what Mass originally wanted when agreeing to put #DDFFCasual as the IRC channel link at the top of the page.
3) To go with the first point I made, there were a select group of individuals that were key in making this channel work in the first place. I didn't mean for it to turn out the way it did overall with the "official" unveiling and transfer from #Dissidia to #DDFFCasual. I owe apologies to all of those individuals (Nero, Chaos, Garuga, Kaya, Hyne, and even Paru) for not realizing my mistake sooner. This is to make sure that any improper notions of ownership or control are dispelled from here on out. I also owe apologies and thanks to Mikeee for knocking some sense back into me.
My next bit as the lead admin will be to make sure that rules are properly displayed and available to everyone so there are no longer any issues regarding the channel as a "place with no rules".
If anyone believes that there is any fault being placed here on the part of any of the staff of DF, you're mistaken. That's not the case at all. If anyone deserves fault for any misconceptions or problems, it's me. I failed to realize what it meant to suggest the channel be "official" and I failed to realize what it meant to bring in the DF staff to help run a channel that is intended to be affiliated, but not part of the Dissidia Forums. I want to make that clear to everyone.
Apologies again for the wall of text. I hope this clears up the situation at hand.
