In regards to IRC, people will normally go on and then go off because nobody else is there. I guess we could have a thread up related to IRC and people could just state that they're online for a set period of time or that they'll be online at a specified time so that others know that someone should be there. It'll just be a little informative thread about who's on IRC.
In regards to spam, I fall victim to the threads being spammed and posts being hard to find. But as long as it's cut down and posts that are longer than two sentences are made then I'll be happier 83

I have a suggestion about this.
Since we can see who are online at the bottom of the home page, why not make a separate one involving the names of those currently at IRC.
So what do you think?

I think that would be something hard to implement since the IRC is on a separate server. Unless it has some kind of tool/code to specifically show who's online in the IRC on another site.

@Smilie - it's okay to do short posts I don't mind them in places like here but I just meant in discussions, something like "Yeah, I agree." or that short sentenced. I just don't see anything productive in it. ^^
@Kayarine - I thought so as well but seeing as Dissidia and the IRC are both linked together and most of the members jump on here before they go on the IRC means that they can check on the IRC thread or just ask/alert others that they're on. I know you might think "Oh but they can check on IRC to see if there are any active members on." But the thing is many members go on and then off if nobody is there.

sometimes the irc wont let me in
i like the whos online in irc idea though
maybe also if some of the commands of irc were told to everyone (like how to change your font colour and stuff) people would want to go in it (the font colour command espically because everyone writing in the same colour makes it hard to see whos writing)
