Okay, so...
First and foremost. It's alarming that so many people have put so much weight on MM. Like...somehow being MM means you've been given the keys to the city. Something so incredible.
Well...it's not. It was my way of shedding light on people who do good things for the community, so I can thank them, and so others can, too.
With so much weight being put on it, suddenly everyone gets up in arms recently over someone who didn't deserve it, or whatever, when it was really unnecessary. This is some stupid little thing that I wanted to do. It's this stupid little thing on the internet. Don't we have anything better to do than complain about this? Apparently not.
Sorry everyone got so bent about it, but I'm not the one who held it up to the lofty standards you give it. You did.
Secondly, I know it was a day late. That's part of the joke. There have been plenty of jokes where people preempt something on the 1st, only to be caught off-guard on the 2nd.
Not to mention, look at the damn post...

How does that not already seem like a joke? When every other MM I've awarded has some little essay about the things they've done. And yes, the intention was to give Foxy the title, but to award another a bit later.
And not to mention, the whole staff couldn't figure out something to do, so I just wanted to do something on my own. Of course, what better time to do it than a day later than when everyone expects it?
On that note as well. A little too much weight put on April Fools I think, too. THERE ARE RULES! THEY NEED TO BE FOLLOWED TO THE LETTER! A joke, a joke, a goddamn joke. Apparently April Fools is serious business.
It's all supposed to just be for fun. And I figured, since everyone else seems to think MM is a joke, why not just turn it into one for the time when things are supposed to be a joke.
Maybe it was too soon, or maybe with everyone putting so much on MM, people couldn't see the joke for what it was.
I apologize. So sorry everyone.
