Although it has been posted lots of times, I just one to merge 'em into one thread.
LEVELING YOUR CHARACTER FROM 1 TO 100 IN JUST 1 BATTLE :
So here's how you do it.
1. Make sure your special day is active as you play. If it's not active, a substitute could be an EXP bonus day.
2. You should have an EXP bonus of 1.5x or 2x. You can buy these at the PP Catalog, Calendar tab.
3. Now, take your level 1 character and customize it with the following :
a. Chocobo Feather, Chocobo Wing, and Chocobo Down. Where can you get this? Feather can be obtained in the Hardcore play plan. Wing can be obtained in the Average play plan. Down can be obtained in the Casual play plan. Capiche?
b. Magic Pot, the manual one. How to get it? Once you finish Cloud's story, you should be able to get enough bonus points for a special locked area to be unlocked. Once that's done, do Cloud's story again, and get the Magic Pot summon. I forgot where it was, but once you see a summonstone blocked by a locked yellow area, it should be unlocked, and you should be able to obtain that summon.
4. Go to Quick Battle, and choose Exdeath as your opponent. Recommended opponent. Another great opponent would be Gabranth.
5. Set these options for the battle :
a. Stage : Order's Sanctuary ( or wherever you feel is comfortable in moving around. )
b. Strength (CPU) : Maximum
c. Level (CPU) : 100. Can't set his level to 100? Buy the CPU Level Cap in the PP Catalog, System tab.
d. Behavior (CPU) : Vicious / Valiant / Tactician
e. Rules : None
6. Once the battle has started, make sure Exdeath / Gabranth breaks you. But I would suggest getting breaked by only one attack from Exdeath. Reverse Polarity. The one where he teleports. As for Gabranth, just get hit with any brave attack until he brakes you.
7. Once you get breaked, Exdeath / Gabranth should have 9999 BRV. If he doesn't, get your BRV regenerated, then get breaked again.
8. DON'T USE MAGIC POT YET. If you use Magic Pot while you're on Break status, you won't be able to copy his BRV. Once your BRV has regenerated, use Magic Pot.
9. Now with your accurate timing, do an HP attack on Exdeath / Gabranth. I recommend doing the attack DURING Exdeath's Almagest. It takes him a long time to charge his Almagest, so it gives you time to perform your HP attack. As for Gabranth, just spam him until he hasn't activated his EX Mode.
10. When HP attack connects, battle finished, 2.5 million EXP gained, Level 1 --> 100. Success.

GETTING 108 AP IN ONE CHAOS BATTLE :
Don't worry, just because you saw the word 'Chaos' doesn't mean it's hard. x]
1. Make sure your special day is active. If it's not active, a substitute could be an AP bonus day.
2. You should have an AP bonus of AP + 3. You can buy these at the PP Catalog, Calendar tab.
3. Now take your un-mastered character and equip him/her with :
a. Beckoning Cat = AP + 100%
b. Diamond Ring = AP + 300%
c. Full Diamond Set = Dazzling Diamond = AP + 100%
d. Hero's Essence/Hero's Spirit ( optional ), if you want more abilities mastered at one time. Hero's Essence = CP + 40, Hero's Spirit = CP + 20.
4. Now go to Quick Battle, and choose Chaos as your opponent. Can't battle him? Buy him in the PP Catalog, System tab.
5. Set these options for the battle :
a. Stage : There's only 2 to pick from. What would you choose? =3
b. Level (CPU) : 1
c. Rules : None
6. Once battle has started, check the AP chance at the bottom-right corner of the screen. It would usually say something like this :
AP Chance
-------------
◘ attack worth 1337 HP
7. There will be 3 segments to the Chaos battle, so do all these AP Chances successfully in each segment.
• Segment 1 : Line for the player.
• Segment 2 : Hope does not exist.
• Segment 3 : You cannot surpass me.
8. When all 3 are successful, you get 108 AP after the battle, and your Diamond Ring will break right after the battle.
This is the most maximum amount of AP you can get in one battle, so don't ask for a higher amount.
Here is a video from YouTube. The guy who made it is named TheRagnarokSeeker. Check out his AP grind video.

That's it.
Please don't flame me.
I just wanted to post this to help, and to clarify on how it's done.
No offense on the part of the other people here, but somehow they can't quite explain it well.
Delete this if it's practically useless. I just made it to help anyway.
Thanks.

Well, I appreciate your efforts of putting all this in one thread, but-
1) Vicious behavior makes characters do a lot more HP attacks than BRV attacks, and we want Exdeath to do at least one BRV attack, so yeah. Tactician could be better.
2) You can not set the Strength or the behavior of Chaos.
At least that's how I remember it. /not like I play DFF anymore
You can set Chaos' strength.

You can't set Chaos's strength. It is pretty much random, because mid-battle he would go from vicious to valiant but technically he is always on Maximum.
Also Gabranth works ALOT better then Exdeath, even though Exdeath's AI is drop dead stupid, Gabranth with Valiant will break you, get almost 9999 and then start charging EX. When he goes into EX mode just dodge up as high as you can. I prefer Edge of Madness as the Map.
Like Tabithia said...Void...too many of these threads
Main: Cecil/Kain
Gabranth is so much safer to fight against purely because of his lack of HP attack outside of Ex-Mode, and the fact that NPC's don't tend to have Ex-Mode builds.
Chaos' strength is set to the strength of the last AI you battled.
Look at his level when he's the first one you battle on quick battle,it's 100
Choose an another opponent and set it to 9 then battle Chaos again and you'll see its 105.
"You can't set Chaos's strength. It is pretty much random, because mid-battle he would go from vicious to valiant but technically he is always on Maximum."
Strength is different from behavior.

I thought Chaos' strength is always set to :Chaotic. Since in the duel colosseum, when you fight him, it always says Chaotic...
Prepare for glory!

Oh yeah. I forgot about that. You can't set Chao's Strength. My bad.
I just copy-pasted. x]
Hmmm, I'll experiment it with Gabranth soon.
Move this to the VOID.![]()
