Lol, I just finally started to ACUALLY play. My disc one was Stuffed and woulden't work. My mate gave me his for free and now im on disc three xP But, his disc stuffed up sometimes but it all worked out cuz i put mine in a suprisingly it worked at that bit xD So where you guys up to? Prolly Clocked it right? Anyone up to disc 2, 3 or 4?

i beat the finished the game's story line but i've never finshed the side quests. i usually beat ultima and omega then get bored with it. my entire party has their best weapons and are at lv 100 also all my gf are at lv 100 with the exception of eden (and yes i have every gf in the game).

why don't u guys try a no lvl/no junction game

farming in the game is dumb, since u can be OP'd before u even get to dollet, especially if u start farming cards -_-

I'm at the beginning of the game (in the academy after the cave mission). Grinding to 100 never went so fast in a Final Fantasy game. <.<

Do not grind your levels at the beginning of the game, not only will the enemies be stronger during the rest of your playthrough, but your final stats will be much lower than if you wait until the end of the game before you begin leveling up. Wait until you acquire the best stat-boosting GFs like Cactuar before you level your characters up. However, if you really want to kick some major butt right away, do some grinding and gain the maximum amount of magic spells through random encounters or through cards and then junction them. Triple Triad is easily abusable right from the start, and you can actually gain high-tier spells such as Flare right from Balamb Garden, or even get the Lionheart on Disk 1. Final Fantasy VIII is only challenging if you moderate yourself by creating challenges, such as speedruns (BEYNd), where you can only grind moderately or not at all, although there's also the incredibly tedious/time consuming/hard as effing hell no lvl/junction challenge.

pretty much, you can solo this game with any char with the proper junctions pretty easily

That... kind of sucks. Well, I'll just level up to 100, hope things get harder and enjoy the story I guess.

I am on disc 4 right after you defeat Seifer but.. I don't have disk 4
