Okay Slinky and me got into a discussion about Snooze and Lose.

YouTube - Why EX Burst seriously blows. (Adhoc Party)
As for Slinky, I couldn't reply because it wouldn't send trough. Anyway you're missing my point. Even I as cloud found a way around it, Squall has an easier time doing this. Squall has aerial and ground attacks that can be used safely. While Cloud doesn't.
You already know Kaijukraid uses Snooze and Lose, and Emperor needs this to make his game even better.

Ummm...you might want to check the URL, that video doesn't have anything concerning Snooze and Lose in it as far as I can tell >_>
The difference is...
Ex-Burst = Nearly Guaranteed BREAK depending on the character
Snooze and Lose = Lowered BRV, possibility for a BREAK.
Snooze and Lose is also subjective on how much BRV you have at the time. When you're maxed out, 200 BRV is like a pittance. With a lower score is when it gets hairy, but the player can counteract it.
If one is worried about Snooze and Lose, you just have to play accordingly, and fight a little more on the offensive. Sure it might be tough, but any player can find a way around it. Regardless of whether it leaves you open to a subsequent attack, Snooze and Lose is nowhere near as big a threat as an Ex-Burst is.
Personally, I hate Snooze and Lose, but that's just me. I also hate fighting Kuja, and bugs.

I have mixed feelings about Snooze and Lose. On one hand, it's a legitimate ability to use in combination with whatever tactic. It's also not something that completely disrupts the game; like you mentioned in the comments, something can be done to seize it's activation.
However, I also agree with Slinky, that it will force many players to attack needlessly and tactless. So, in other words, while one is using the ability to boost their strategy, the other is forced to disregard strategy if they don't want their brave to drain.
But then again in defense of Snooze and Lose, it does take up a lot of CP, so whoever is using the ability is sacrificing a move or two or another useful ability.
All in all, it's not as game-breaking as the Exburst. It's just an extremely annoying ability. Like Belts said, a player should find a way around it.
Be master of your petty annoyances and conserve your energies for the big, worthwhile
things. It isn't the mountain ahead that wears you out - it's the grain of sand in your shoe.

Just watch this video in how to deal with Snooze and Loose,
YouTube - Cloud Strife Versus Zidane Tribal part 2 -Adhoc Party- (Dave8834)
Notice at 1:00 and 1:21 and how I space myself away from Nero to get rid of Snooze and Loose. In my opinion, Snooze and Loose is a fair and helps a ton on characters such as Emperor and Cloud.

Totally
Anyway back to topic.
Dave had ALOT of problems dealing with Snooze and lose at first. I vs this dude alot btw and overtime he ended up finding a way to it. Sure every now and then it activates. But each character has atleast one move they can use to keep it deactivated.
If your really having problems with someone who is using Snooze and Loose, save the videos and watch them again. At least, that's what I do to get better as a player. I try to learn from my mistakes and correct them for the next fight. At this point, Snooze and Loose isn't really a problem for me anymore. I will forget at times to get rid of Snooze and Loose because I'm so use to the JPN version of the game @@.
