I figured I should start a matchup thread for WoL. Somebody should, right?
Heh.
Anyway, this first post will be updated with the decisions that we WoL players discuss and agree on.
So! Let's get a move on! Who shall we discuss first?

I just basically wait for a bit of an opening to use the up/down shield attack, whichever's appropriate.
Shield of light is fast enough to block most of his attacks.
Well if no one else is going, I'll suggest one.
I'm having trouble approaching Cloud of Darkness. When she used Thrash Around all I can really do is Omni Air Dash back and wait for it to be over so I can MAYBE punish. Shield of Light/blocking is good once I get in but she can keep me at a decent distance with Thrash around and if I don't time it right she can counter my follow-ups with Wrath Particle Beam.
Any tips?
The characters I have the hardest time wrapping my head around, while playing WoL, are Golbez and Kuja. Golbez probably takes priority, though, as I usually find I can dodge Kuja's attacks if I go up and over him.
With an effort so constrained, this is the venom in my veins. This is the venom in my veins; created and cured by the same.
I'm not a WoL main but just to get the ball rolling i say start from the top with Garland and work your way down.
Spoiler:
OK people why there is not discussion about WoL match up come man give me break.
I want any user who use WoL to bring their ass here and put some comments about match up. Let's start with our nemesis garland.
Any user who use garland please report themselves here and talk about your problems playing against Warrior of light.
Let made the section of the forums being in the light at least once.
Comments: Our dear Nemesis garland has slow attacks but very dangerous too. Both characters are balance in terms of their attacks and each one of them can counter the other one. I believe this pretty much balance match up 50-50 but i don't have so much experience against garland because they are weird to find xD.
I will like anyone who know more about this give their comments because i DEMAND this part of the forums be active xD

If you're in ascension rang, he's in Highbringer range. Because of SoL's homing, Round Edge is amazingly difficult to pull off. HOWEVER! Most WoL's have a heavy ground stance, which MAY mean trouble for you, since Lance Bullet is all about baiting a guard and punishing. This goes for Shield of Light as well. Should he miss Lance Bullet, he will dodge. This may or may not be an opening for you if you quickly jump and use a Shield attack.
In the air, again, you remain somewhat matched with Garland weighing in as the favorite. If you whiff a shield strike, he can punish you easily with his Twist Drill(hurts less, easier to get hit by), or his Bardiche, as well as potentially punish dodge-hugging with Twin Blades. Remain smart about your shield strikes though, and you SHOULD at least hold your own. Shield of Light is your BEST friend here, and is the main reason I don't totally give it to Garland.
HP you have Garland beat hands down. Your HP Chains far out class anything he can throw at you. Your main concern should be Cyclone-Blaze. Trying to Radiant Sword Cyclone-Blaze is, essentially, fruitless. SHield of light is a good way to get defense crushed, so it falls to Shining Wave, which does a good job of piercing Cyclone, but is, of course, ground limited.
Final Notice: Every melee attack you have against Garland is near useless when he's EX Mode. He can easily draw you into a combo, then Cyclone/Earthquake you mid attack. Try to wait it out with your Fangs, Radiant Sword(Cyclone Stalemate=Draining EX), and Shining Wave. Again, refrain from Shield of Light. Most Good Garlands stick to only using HP attacks and maybe some unblockable BRVs. Using Shield is a good way for him to get a good crit attack or a much needed HP attack on you.
I'm also available to do Seph, Golbez, Gabranth

Thank you fro your answer clear all my thought what i was thinking about it well i believe the match up is even 50-50 since both character can punish the lag of the other.

Sword Thrust is a bugger for a Firion, since blocking if with Shield Bash leaves him open for the incoming attack. However, it's easy to see coming and to dodge, which then leaves you open for Rope Knife or Lance Combo. The rest of his Ground attacks are easy to see coming, aside from an unexpected Blue Fang. In terms of Ground Brave, Firion has the advantage.
His Shining Wave is inaccurate, and can easily be dodged. Shield of Light is good if you successfully predict a Lance Combo, but both Reel Axe and Rope Knife have Guard Break. Reel Axe leaves him open, but if he's fond of Rope Knife you're better off with Aerial Attacks. Ground HP attacks are good if you use it at the right time, but they shouldn't be used offensively.
The air is where WoL should be more. Shield Strike is fast and can surprise Firion, but it can be Shield Bash'd if you're too predictable with it. Rising Buckler is useless unless you can catch the Firion using a Straightarrow (Air), which isn't likely. Crossover leaves you out of range for Rope Knife and will collide with Lance Combo, making you both stagger. But Shield Bash can be a problem. Overall, WoL's Air Brave game is solid, but you should mix it up if you don't want to get Shield Bash'd every time.
WoL's Air HP game relies on punishing, again. Shield of Light can't be Rope Knife'd if you do it right, and Radiant Sword is good after dodging Reel Axe. However, Radiant Sword leaves you too open for it to be used without care.
Overall, I find Firion to be a tough match-up with WoL. Shield Bash remains a constant threat, and his Ground game is overall really good. Getting him into the air is tough, since you mostly rely on Brave attacks to do that, which can be Shield Bash'd. Mix it up, don't be predictable and you'll be able to give Firion a hard time.
I suppose I should warn you.
You cannot comprehend the wooshie.
