    Default Blizzard: Pseudo Defense Crush?

Hey everyone. I was fighting the Ninja FC the other day, and I kept getting hit by his Blizzard > Quake chain, even though I'd block it every time (BLOCK would show up on the screen and everything) Is this a glitch or something? I was screwed out of so many potential wins bc of that... :[

    thx in advance

When you move (moving your analog) while blocking Blizzard, the character tends to move and you get hit with blizzard since after blocking, the character immediately can move. That's when your hit with Blizzard.

That sucks. So I gotta make sure I'm neutral.... Is there an archive of moves that behave this way? I'm about 80% sure that Firion's Rope Knife works the same way

    EDIT:

you can do that? Rapid-fire blocking?

Correct me if I'm wrong but rope knife actually performs a stagger effect, like Heel Crush. It's multihit as well, so it staggers, then the extra hits pull the enemy in.

    Edit: Beaten to it, heh.

Firion's rope knife staggers and you can't block it then. As for Firion's Reel Axe it destroys guards so you will always get sucked into him.

To block blizzard you must hold the block button for more time since it's a 2 hit move (I think)

Yeah, it hits twice. So block once and don't touch anything and you'll block both hits. I can't remember another move doing that but...yeah.

Blizzard's active frames are maybe 1-2 frames within each other. Terra's Doublecast just fires another spell but not that close together. EX Thunder, maybe, but I dunno if they all hit at the same time or not.
