I did activate my account with yahoo.
And I still receive some emails for friend requests too.

Although, I don't get any e-mails about friend requests but I'm pretty sure I turned that off since I usually do on forums.

I'm replying to this thread considering that I activated this account through yahoo, but I'm a bit confused as to why people have to specify this. Is there a problem with those who activated with Yahoo?
I activated with Yahoo but I set my preferences to receive no further emails.
