I'd say the most balanced stage is World of Darkness, but I just like it overall.
9999hp can last longer then 9609hp anyway even though its only a little more

So basically any character who relies on OHKO is going to need to play really smart or really good once they get up enough brave to kill.
I never really thought about it when I initially read the rules, but it'll definitely be interesting to see what this does to characters like Squall who usually rely heavily on the OHKO approach but have a harder time landing the HP. I have a few ideas how things will go down, but I'm sure we'll see some interesting approaches to these seemingly minor changes.
I tried the set out last night and while it was expected (since it's basically derived from an already proven setup), it worked out really well. I very much enjoyed it and I think this tournament will be really fun and solid!

Yeah, I'm really interested to see how it all turns out. I'll definitely be signing up as long as I can get my adapter to work, it looks like it'll be really awesome. If I can't, I really hope someone does an AHP version of this.

Veysey actually got a good point here. An increase of ~390 brave will hurt OHKO characters a lot. One thing is to keep a constant 9999, and the other is something around ~9700. SnL activates eats 200 brave, and now the brave king needs to work again to get that 9999 and ex bursts are not allowed to help in anyway. While I agree that no bursts should be tried since we never did this before, but adding crapatisic ~390 brave is just wrong.
Alot of characters that rely on OHKO are "handicapped." I say take out the hp gems. They are not needed-- they are there for the sole reason I provided to make life difficult for OHKO's and characters who already have a huge problem landing hp attacks. It is okay if people play zidane but not for someone who plays Squall or the like.
I think this ruleset is not balanced as compared to KAoS 1.5 (2.0?).

if there is a charecter who is using such a build, they often have a skill to avoid SnL, blizzard barret, shadow flare, any of ulti's attacks 9though she isnt OHKO Needed) Blaze, snatch shot, though Kuja isnt OHKO needed, hopstep, trine, though nor does kefka
but you get my point, if the player is diligent of keeping pressure, they can keep SNL, and if the enemy runs away, most of the time they're safe enough to use one of those.
i dont believe that should be to much a problom to OHKOers in the first place, they usually have adept brave game, therefor they hit for 9700, they can easily gain back that 9999 brave. though they wouldnt need it.
not to mention a lot of theese charecters HP attacks(excluding most of squalls) do some sort of BP damage.
i dont think it needs removed for the sole reason that a good OHKOer is gonna keep up the pressure with brave game anywways and shouldnt be hit with SnL as often.
though that all depends on the skill of the player at hand

@shuruka Did you follow some tournament like KAoS in the past? Canceling out SnL is not as easy as you claim it is, and the issue is the moment SnL activates 200 brave is gone. OHKO is denied. The moment OHKO character get 9999 most people will run because it is easy to make it activate once.
And the sole reason these hp gems are added is because of OHKOs.
