Nah, jk. I guess that the 1000-year time travel, the effects of proximity to Sin, and the lack of an extended intro to Tidus which would hopefully include his last name, would be the reasons IMO.

I think he does, it's "LOLfag", but he changed it from Jecht's "TOTALLY AWESOME AND MACHO" because he hates him so much.

I think it's strange, considering he's one of the only main characters with mention of their father in the story. The other would be Squall, although technically his father is never actually pointed out, just assumed way later in the game.
