Default Which is better after a block?

Most of the time I use Reaper, but lately I've been toying with Fervent Blow since it appears that it does more damage with Riposte.

But, which actually does more damage?

Can't you jump real quick and do the air combo? That should let you get all of the Riposte crits.

Usually after I run a couple blocks I like to sit down and eat a sandwich...or is that not what you meant?

I dunno, I normally smash the crap out of my enemies when I block them. Riposte FTW!

    I think SF>SC>Oblivion works

IMO it depends on your footing and area. If you are near the ground, Reaper is your best bet for max damage with riposte. Since if you opt to jump and SC->Oblivion or SF->SC->oblivion, landing lag can de-activate riposte so you lose some crits in the process. When high into the air, IMO the best would be SC->Oblivion. I usually don't use Sf->SC->oblivion high in the air since sometimes enemies are able to escape in one part or the other. But you can just choose reaper or the DC combos on whatever you footing is....
EDIT: Fervent Blow is more powerful after a block than reaper. Just make sure the sword hits before the slashes hit.

I know this is probably off subject but, I think Octaslash is the perfect HP attack to do after blocking.
