Hi users of Dissidia Forums
The purpose of this thread is to discuss about another potential loop that i believe people should know and try to not permit it in any tournament. I don't know how the chase frames works but Jirachi/Pokefan362 can really answer these question.
The video below will explain how it works and well is all to up to decide what is this xD

Sorry RDF, but.....
It's cPREHISTORIC in here. Plus it's not an infinite because the other person can still escape if Kuja messes up.

This is true, although with practice it's fairly easy to avoid getting hit in chase. Having fought Jirachi before he rarely makes a mistake in chase battles.
Still, another way to escape is to chase HP and pray the camera gods are with you. Depending on what the game feels like, it can pan the camera in such a way that puts Kuja directly above or below you in the middle of a chase sequence. It doesn't necessarily work all the time but when it does you can get out.
What happen when you mess up with others infinites? Same results.
It is not infinite but rather a potential loop such as Ascension > Wallrush > Rising Buckler > Shield Strike > Button Lock > Ascension > Rising Buckler > Shield Strike > Crossover > Rune Saber.
Just try it yourself. Also, the only way to get out of this is either the player mess up or EXG. Keep in mind EXG will not save you all the time and people who practice this rarely mess up.
Just try it out people.

The thing with Chase Mode is that it is mainly an effect of surprise and fast EX Force gathering for both players, but once you've been doing it for more than three times in a row, both players won't feel the same amount of stress they initially had when it began, so they won't get hit by each other's attacks. If you look at the video, you'll see that Kuja's EX Meter is hardly even dropping, making this tactic quite formidable in Equip battles, notably under Kaos and Ragnarok settings. I don't know what you guys think about it, but I personally don't find it appealing to know I could get my ass whooped in Ragnarok from the moment a Kuja player enters into EX while triggering Chase Mode.

One might argue that in chase mode, Kuja has the possibility of messing up on dodge. However, let's look at a slightly different scenario. Lets take a match that has a heavy, but extremely smooth lag. Like the lag we experience when playing against someone who is half way across the globe. What are the chances of messing up on dodge in a chase sequence, then? Realistically? Theoretically, it is still possible, but realistically, the chances are very, very slim.
Also, I don't believe that chase mode provides alot of ground for a versatile mind game. There are only two possibilities - a 50/50 chance of getting hit by one or the other. It also doesn't help that these attacks can be dodged on reaction if someone is extremely vigilant. The chase sequence works against those who are edgy, twitchy, or those who are anticipating a certain attack and guess wrong. But those who simply wait on reaction, will rarely get hit in chase.
I don't know how previous tournaments looked at this loop. I don't remember anyone being banned for using this. I also don't remember anyone abusing this in a tournament before. However correct me if I'm wrong.
Some seemed to already confirm, but if we can test if this is truly an inescapable loop (like how Wedge did with WoL's wallrush combo), then I think we need to consider whether to ban it or not. If all it takes for Kuja is to get his chase dodges right, then I think we need to consider this sequence a loop and not allow it in the future tournaments.
