    Default The power of ONIONS

So recently I've been experimenting with the Onion Knight.

At first I thought he was just a psuedo-Zidane, using the same strategy as him.

Now I see him more as a campier (no joke intended) version of Zidane. But with a FAR Superior Ground game.

I'll be showing a video soon of what I mean. But I don't think I've seen many Onion Knights use Firaga, which I'm beginning to think is his best HP attack.

I can honestly say, I do enjoy playing Onion Knight, and Firaga is not something I ever thought I'd use.

I definately agree about the superior ground game. But my favourite part of using onion knight is like Firion in FF2; you can go either physical or magical. Personally I much prefer his magical attacks, but that's purely aesthetics, however I like that he has soooo many different ways of playing mind games because of the various different combinations of magic and physical attacks, the only thing I wish he had is some sort of slow homing magic, like firion's fire and cloud's fire.

On a side note: Please don't burn me if I'm wrong I suck as OK, I just like his moves. (there's no meek smiley so I'll just go with :P)

I always though Firaga was good, but my lack of interest in OK has made me not care

I think Blizzard -> Quake is better than Firaga personally, it hits more (more damage that is) and is sometimes much easier to strike the opponent with.

I disagree. Each time I used Blizzard it would... well.. miss or get blocked. Firaga has more chance of hitting for the HP damage aswell as come out unexpectedly.

I suppose it helps that I always play defensive as OK, cuz it actually is pretty gay when it comes to not getting blocked back at your face like you said. If OK has some GOOD pressure moves it would be much betterer.

OK plays in a similar play style in my opinion to Emperor and ExDeath. Actually he needs to play more defensively.

I found his Melee Brave Moves can deflect a lot of magic. It can still be blocked but it does have quite mad priority compared to Beat Fang.

They can also be used to punish dodges (!!!) and I even found that Extra Lunge -> Turbo Hit is a possible combo for OK when you back them into a corner.

That's true. The constant Hitbox of his Melee moves would provide decent deflection.

Strangely I'm also liking Blade Torrent. The mad high priority from that + able to clash with other HP attacks + if you've been using Multi Hit a lot allows for some really vicious blocking mind games. Also that Blade Torrent CAN BE EX-LINKED.

I am also loving the extra two Fire's that come out with Firaga in Ex-Mode as well. I'm just thinking how much OK seems to prefer the ground, especially since he doesn't need to LEAVE the ground against characters like Squall who can also get Firaga'd in the face if he attempts a Mystic Flurry.
