Nostalgic Moments in Dissidia

So what things in the game brought back memories for you from other Final Fantasies? Or anything cool in general that you noticed that Square Enix made a point in?

For example, I laughed out loud when I found out that Cloud has a "Blonde Wig" and "Silk Dress" as equipment, which is a reference to the time in VII where he had to dress up as a girl (too bad it's not his strongest armor)

I also found the ending to be full of meaning.
Spoiler in quote please don't read if you don't want to be spoiled.

- The characters disappear in reverse order from X to I.
- Tidus disappears the same way he did at the end of X. (jumping off a ledge)
- Squall's disappearance reminded me of the beginning of VIII with Rinoa holding the feather.
- Cloud disappears into a field of yellow flowers reminiscent of the field he imagines himself in with Aerith in Advent Children.
- Of course, Firion gets a shot with his wild roses.

Anyone have anything else to contribute? I haven't played all the Final Fantasies so I'm sure I missed a lot of references and would like to be educated on them. I'll also post more as I think of them.

In Terra's story mode, she presents Cloud with Firion's wild rose, and says she wants to share his dream, and that Cloud should share it, too. To me, this is a throwback to FFVII. It probably makes Cloud think "Hey... Here's a girl who wants to cover the world with flowers... I wonder if I know/knew anyone else like that?" And knowing the obvious answer, it was a turn-up for him. I think it was a positive moment in his character development, and I appreciated the subtlety of how they pulled it off (IE, it wasn't even in Cloud's story)

Oh yes I remember thinking that too. I agree, very nice touch. That also reminded me of what happens when Cloud is fighting against Firion. He says, "You remind me of a friend." I'm assuming he's referring to Zack who kept saying to follow your dreams and protect your honor. Or... he could be referring to this:

1: when Tidus says goodbye to his dad in shade impulse.
2: The end of Onion Knights story
3: When Firion talks to Cosmos about his dream
4: When Zidane offers Kuja his help
5: When Cloud tells Terra about Firions dream
6: After Terra and Kefka fight in Shade impulse
7: When you get the moogle summon with Terra
8: When Terra fights Kefka in her story
9: ....to hell with it. Anything that has Terra in it lol.
