Double Cut to Slashing Blow should work on Zidane right?
And while on the topic, Golbez too?

I've had problems doing it to Zidane, and someone told me it doesn't work on Golbez either.

Yes, I do mean from the air and using landing lag.

Yes Haru, it does work. Just make sure against Zidane of course, stay on the ground and when he is about to perform some kind of aerial to double cut, then radiply tap jump until you see cloud jump right away (well thts what I do) and unleash slashing blow. Make sure cloud doesnt do a high jump, that may be the reason. Ive done it many many times. You'll get it . For golbez, it is possible but not very likely because most Golbez users stay on the ground (at least the ones I play). But Climhazzard-> slashing blow should work just fine. Especially when he is about to attack from a mid-distance. Just remember to be patient against those characters. Not really matchups in Cloud's favor. Hope this helped.

Golbez doesn't suffer from landing lag, Every character who floats on the ground will make Double Cut to omni invalid.

Cloud combo question:
I've asked this some time back but I *think* there wasn't a solid conclusion.

Squall can do Solid Barrel -> Chase (let chase end w/o attacking) -> (While opponent is getting up)Aerial Circle and it connects when near ground.

Can Cloud do Double Cut -> Chase (let chase end w/o attacking) -> Slashing Blow while in ex mode when near ground too? Is this a legit combo?

If I remember correctly you cannot do this 'combo' outside Ex-Mode because the opponent has time to recover and block. This kind of does not make sense since if a 41 frame startup Aerial Circle can hit, I don't understand why a 25 frame startup Slashing Blow cannot. Ahh the mystery of game mechanics.

I'll appreciate if someone who plays on Ad-hoc can try this combo out? *MIGHT* open up some options for Mr. Strife

No dice, slashing blow takes too long for start up, they can recover and block. How unfortunate. Can't find anything with faster execution either. All opponents can simply dodge away.

And to answer the Aerial Circle question, it has a larger space to hit, including vertical, with faster approach, although that doesn't effect the frame speed of the attack.But heck whatever works
