Combo Problem?

Every time I try to do Zidane's infinite air combo, I can't pull it off. I could do the maneuver giving me trouble with Cloud, so I think it's a Ability problem.

When ever I go to air-dodge after my attack, Zidane blocks first. Why is that? It leaves me seriously open and once it's finally over I'm able to dodge...

If this is posted anywhere already, I'm really sorry. Again, I'm new, and I checked a few threads and watched a vid already .

Didn't quite get your post. Anyway, learn the cooldown of the attacks that you need to dodge out. second, dodge only once and don't mash the R+X buttons as you might be blocking it. third, learn what attacks are able to be combo'ed. Also, watch vids of all type od Dodge cancels. DC, TDC, and RDC are the most useful of DCs for Zidane

I figured out my issue, haha,

the issue was I didn't have Midair Evasion equipped on Zidane. For some reason even though it wasn't enabled, I was still able to Hold R+X+Direction to air dodge, just only after I had blocked first (taking up valuable time as I'm sitting in the air waiting for my guard to finish so I can do a frontflip).

Because I was about to do a Midair Evasion of sorts, I didn't realize that the Ability wasn't equipped.

Since I don't want to make a new thread, can anyone tell me what mastering abilities does? Maybe i don't have to waste CP on them and still use them?

It means their CP cost is lowered so u can equip moar abilities at the same time.

you don't need midair evasion boost. It depends on you. I myself don't use it for combos.
