Okay, there's a way to hit them with it EXTREMELY easy. But the situation requires the opponent to dodge backwards. If they dodge backwards, they'll get sucked into it. But you have to make them have a reason to want to dodge backwards, throw out some close range, force them back. Then toss out a remote flare or two, THEN seraphic star.
This works for me, i hope it does for you.
My name is Atomos, meaning... Uncuttable.
I think its pretty usefull, but it relies on the timing, it leaves you open and takes quiet a while BUT if the timing is right its an easie hit (its best used against mages).
i wouldn't use it right off the batt but I prefer to wait around untill I know the opponent, if you know when they attack its a sure hit (atleast against the CPU)wait for them to perform attack which gives them a slow lag then dodge backward when they atatck and use it.
for mages its really easie to hit (again againast the CPU) when they attack use it.
its a good attack, but it has limited options, but the options it has can only be used by it and not with ultima/flare star
Naturally, Seraphic Star is one of those moves best used in closed environment. It provides an opening all around the opponent in Kefka's Tower and if the slip up in Pandemonium. Get the enemy cornered in Pandemonium and you've got the best Seraphic Star opportunity of a lifetime.
Use it with Holy Ring for mindgames, or you can just Block-> Holy Ring-> Seraphic Star
Or you could block > Flare Star and replace Holy Rings with an attack that isn't complete garbage outside of guard counters.
What I like to do is rush at an EX Core and cast Seraphic Star on it. It's funny to watch as the enemy rushes in and explodes.
Remember: December 2011
does seraph star go through the emperors flare? just curious.
Yes, yes it does.
Remember: December 2011
Most HP attacks go through flare D:
Not that many actually break it though.
Would Seraphic Star be consider a mid-range or long range technique? I want to know to make sure when to use it.
