    Default Most BP Damage?

So Would it be fair to say Squall is the highest BP Damage character in the game or tied with another char?

if so, is there a list from characters who dish out the highest BP damage to low?

Mm, it all depends, he's definitely high up there on the charts. Exdeath arguably can compete with his blocks and counter attacks, same with Tidus with his DCs, along with Cloud and Sephiroth. Gabranth can deal mad damage in EX mode as well. Overall, I would say top 3 BP dealers are probably Sephiroth (since most of his attacks you can DC with), Gabranth (in EX mode, he's insane) and Squall (of course, EX mode just doubles that, so of course he's high up.) Then again, it also depends on sets. Obviously, if you set Gabranth up with a pure damage set he may be probably the most deadly in EX mode.. but of course, he'd only be in EX mode for a couple seconds. So he's better with an hourglass/ex force set. You can utilize Squall to be strong with damage sets so yes he's probably one of the best BP dealers, unfortunately, he just can't back it up with HP attacks.

Terra can hurt like a truck, Ultimecia has an attack that can easily do 4 digit Brave damage and Squall is Squall. Those would be my choices. Gabranth being below them I suppose.

There are other characters that come to mind, like Cecil and Kefka, cause they also do extraordinary damage. However, I don't know if it's greater than Squall's or any of the others mentioned.

If we really want to compare the damages, the best thing to do is to choose a set like KAoS, and then take ujhbn's thread and Hyne's damage calculater to see who will do what damage.

But I do know that Squall's ATK is not the highest in the game, and WoL's final hit from Ascension does as much damage as Squall's beat fang. So, Squall isn't the only damage-dealing character out there. It's the consistency of him landing the hits that gets him the bp--not the damage, I think.

Anyway, moving this to general discussion since this isn't just about Squall's bp damage.

Well you wouldn't really want a BP attack that rarely hits, i.e. Ulti's charged knight's axe, or one that's limited. BF is great because he still has movement while executing and it's fast. I simply preferred Gabranth's because his is varied, all have long range, and it's extremely fast execution. If Squall had a way to chain together BP attacks to lead to an HP attack he'd be a helluva killer. Unfortunately, the only real chaining i've seen is the occasional TB>HP attack or Mystic Flurry>Aerial Circle or the occasional Rough Divide. You can't judge an attack based on how much total damage it can do, you have to take in consideration accuracy, range, etc.

I think you meant BB, as in Blizzard Bullet.
    Just saying.

In my opinion, we have three characters right up there as BRV reapers: Garland, Sephiroth and Squall.
Garland primes for sheer power, Sephiroth for range and Squall for speed. For all three of them, when it hits, it hurts.
Squall, IMHO, takes the cake for consistency and synergy in landing his attacks(since Upper Blues, Solid Barrel AND Beat Fang are very fast and blocking Squall is an extremely difficult task) and his Ex Mode(double damage, sign me in).

But then we have Cecil, Terra, Kefka and Gabranth who are capable of obscene amounts of damage, especially in Ex. The thing is that the Triumvirate Of Doom up there have better chances of recovering said BRV on the long run, if it´s lost. They are strong enough in and out of Ex to revert the damage against anyone else, except arguably for Terra.

It should be clear, though, that almost every character has one or two attacks that put up nice amounts of damage. Ulty´s Knight´s Axe(charged), WoL´s Ascension, Cloud´s Aerial Fang, Emperor´s Mine...and so on. But what really counts is practicity and consistency.

Swift Attack - I have honestly never used this attack seriously. It has quick execution, but no range. Good for chipping and interrupting.
Way to go, champ! Show them all how it´s done!

    wtf

    no

dual rends second hit is easy as fuck to block. The first one isnt but its range is somewhat limited. Same with rupture and enrage

For a melee attack, it's long range. Especially compared to Squall's attacks.

I know what I'm talking about.

    Don't turn it into a big deal because it's a f***ing opinion.
