I am all in favour of 'actually doing it'. I hope there is not a massive procrastination regarding the set up. However, I really think bringing in one or two moderators into the project would probably get things moving much faster.*

Aevitas is the mod of that section, but she hasn't got on here for more than two weeks. You don't need mod supervision or what have you, just go ahead; though if you really want a mod to make the thread, ask Kura.

Thank you for the advice. Since I hold no clout on this forum, I suppose it would be best to ask Kura to start the thread. I just didn't know the protocol involved in starting up events like this. I foolishly thought that they had to be approved. :/

That is quite an old thread but the protocol hasn't much changed: only Dissidia tournaments hosted in the tournaments' section have to be approved by the staff (on that note, if one wants to host a casual event or a tournament for the IRC, (s)he has to use the Contention Aeterna section and get in touch with Khellendros). Everything else (graphic contests, Mafia, etc.) isn't as serious business and doesn't require approval as such.

Not really a forum suggestion but it is related. The forum's twitter and facebook pages are really only being used to say "oh the forum is down, now it's back up" or "Hey we're having another major 3-6 months apart". I really think they can be used for more than that. Maybe posting all decently sized events on there (p4a tournaments, triple triad, NA or EU tournaments, etc.) Also, you could share every video that gets uploaded over facebook, it does take two clicks. As a last idea I suggested this to kraid a few months back but maybe every few days or something a funny dissidia related image could be posted on the forums facebook page. That would be another decent reason to actually bother checking the forums facebook page.
