Perfecting The Traps "The Emperor Combos"

(The Simplest of all of The Emperor's Combo)
Lightning Crest -> Landmine

Thunder Crest -> Flare(Either)

Thunder Crest -> Bombard

Thunder Crest -> Mine(Midair) -> Light Crest (Midair)

(These Combos are a bit Tricky to do)
Dynamite -> ThunderCrest -> Landmine

Dynamite -> Thunder Crest -> Flare(Either)

Dynamite -> Thunder Crest -> Bombard

Dynamite -> Thunder Crest -> Mine(Midair) -> Light Crest

Dynamite -> Thunder Crest -> Mine(Midair) -> Flare(MidAir)

(These Combos are Easy once you get past the Starfall part.)
StarFall -> Thunder Crest -> Flare(Either)

StarFall -> Thunder Crest -> Landmine

StarFall -> Thunder Crest -> Bombard

StarFall -> Thunder Crest -> Mine(Midair) -> Light Crest(Midair)

(These Combos below, have your opponent land in a Thunder Crest, and you immediently use the attack, which gives off another window of oppertunity for another attack.)
Pre Thunder Crest -> Landmine -> Landmine

Pre Thunder Crest -> Landmine -> DC -> Flare

Pre Thunder Crest -> Landmine -> Bombard

Pre Thunder Crest -> Mines(Midair) -> Mines(Midair) -> Light Crest
(These Combos below, are set where you preset your Lightning Crest and Bombards them into it)
Pre Thunder Crest -> Bombard -> Mines(Midair) -> Light Crest

Pre Thunder Crest -> Bombard -> Flare

Pre Thunder Crest -> Bombard -> Bombard.

(These combos below will Hit Foe with the Pre Flare(Midair)
Starfall -> Pre Flare(Midair) -> Thunder Crest -> Landmine

Pre Flare(Midair) -> Thunder Crest -> Landmine

Pre Flare(Midair) -> Thunder Crest -> Mines(Midair) -> Light Crest

Pre Flare(Midair) -> Thunder Crest -> Bombard

Basically it means you have to use the following attack at the same time or shortly after they get trapped by Thunder Crest or get hit by Flare. Exception is Bombard, since it has to be the move that pushes them into the Thunder Crest.

Pre Thunder Crest and Pre Flare is when you place that trap out, and you use that to follow up with another Trap

Example:You set out a Pre Flare, you set a thunder crest near that flare, You opponent is sucked into your thunder crest, and basically your opponent recovers/Flys into the Flare that you Presetted.

Good list, it is a bad thing however that probably half of those combos won't ever work in online matches, because Starfall is so hard to land against someone with a brain, and Dynamite really sucks. In Duodecim, however, Starfall combos would probably be a lot easier to do.

Yes they will work, if you know wat your doing, they arnt that impossible, i done them before against people online.

Well, a guy that plays mainly Squall or Ultimecia is giving me lessons on how to play the Emperor. How ironic.

Tabithia: I think I know the numerous weaknesses of the Emperor, Starfall doesn't really work that good itself, the casting time is just too long. Anyone that can play the game well has means to prevent you from casting the spell. Or you played at the Rift and you went too happily to catch an Excore at the other side of the map, so you got crushed by a giant meteor. Well, all of that, to say that this is very hard to land, too hard. But I think that you, as a confirmed player of the Emperor, you know that. Dynamite sucks, don't ever use it online, unless you want to waste some time against a turtling player. It's better against grounded characters such as Firion, because of the fact that it has a special property when it reaches a wall. Not to mention that it is completely useless against aerial opponents such as Emperor's worst nightmare, Kuja.

Mastering the Emperor is no easy task overall, a lot of us say that the most difficult characters to use are Exdeath and Jecht, but I highly disagree with that.

Emperor isn't that tough. I don't see the problem so many people have.

No one in their right mind should use Starfall seriously in a match unless you need them to come to you. If they're stupid, they'll attack you with an attack which can be easily deflected or blocked or even Thunder Crested.

If you land a Starfall that's always awesome. However this will only usually be on a mazy like arena where it's hard to get around. (You can land it on arenas such as Old Chaos Shrine because of Ex-Core gather + ceiling.) So Old Chaos Shrine and Pandaemonium are your best chances of Starfall (and maybe The Rift.)

Dynamite actually has it's uses. It's more useful to use Dynamite on some characters than Thunder Crest. Firion and Squall come to mind very quickly with Dynamite.

Starfall is hard to Land but not impossible, like Kraid said its should be used to get your opponent to come to you.

Dynamite may seem to suck, its very useful in certain ways for instance
