http://psp.ign.com/articles/113/1139955p1.htmlFinal Fantasy IV is being remade. Again. But the newly announced PSP version looks like it could be the ultimate version for those who want to experience the full FFIV story.
Japan's V Jump magazine has a first look at Final Fantasy IV Complete Collection. This compilation includes both Final Fantasy IV and WiiWare's Final Fantasy IV The After Years on one disc. Square Enix is also adding a new scenario that bridges the two games.
The classic SNES visuals are being redone for the PSP. From what we've seen, the whole game now looks like The After Year's WiiWare version, although we imagine the quality will be even nicer on the PSP's screen.
Japan will get The After Years in the Spring. There's no word yet on a release outside of Japan.
FFIV is being remade...again? The DS remake hasn't even been out that long. O__o
The original IV, along with TAY in one game, plus a bridging scenario? Interesting. Any leads on a release date?
I won't be expecting the retro Red Wings on this one, though. It was so badass~ T_T

I've played the Ds version, and I loved it. I don't see much reason to go one better than that, considering it had graphics which rivaled the likes of Nine and in many cases bested Seven...
However, I'd love to have another FF title for my Psp, other than 1,2, Dissidia, Tactics, Crisis core, seven, eight, and nine, and if it features Crisis core style graphics I'll pounce on it like a good, money making fanboy.
:}
I'm happy but I'm a little worried some fanboys are gonna be complaining that it's getting remade again ._. Last I need is haters hating just because of that. Though I am definitely stoked about the TAY remake! Lol I've yet to finish it on my wii. Also, a scenario between FF4 and TAY? :O Sounds like a party, moar CGI TAY Golbez plz~!
HNNGH- that depresses me too. I remember first playing FF4 and was like, "FFF-YEAH~!" When it opened up with that music. Instantly pulled me into the game.I won't be expecting the retro Red Wings on this one, though. It was so badass~ T_T
Mains: Golbez | COD

TAY on something other than WiiWare? Do want. I've always wanted to play it since it was released in America but the lack of a Wii didn't allow me to. :<
I don't think remaking the original IV yet again was necessary, but I guess it's nice for people that never played it and don't own a DS/GBA so they get to know the original story before playing TAY.

To be honest, I don't think it's necessary to remake FFIV again either, unless they decide to give it Crisis Core or Dissidia graphics. The DS remake was good enough for me.
I think it's neat how they're putting both FFIV and TAY on one disc though.

I wonder if they'll still jave voice acting if they decided to use sprites instead of polygonal models.

I find this interesting, yet I am not interested really. I'm playing through IV DS right now, and this is to me the pinnacle of a remake :S
And after how Aevitas explained The After to me, I don't really feel inclined to play through that one either, since it's the same damn thing, just with different characters. I suppose the combo system is cool, but...is it enough to draw me in to play it? Probably not :/
