Umm... This may be little off topic but, my friend said he found an Infinite Assist Combo with Lightning using Sephiroth assist and lightning's Thunderfall and a side by side/exp to assist build (I'm not sure but I think he might be using troubled soul and not exp to assist). I think the combo is just AI stupidity but I don't want to get cought in something like that when I fight him, so if someone who mains light could check it out and see if it's legit or not, I would really appreciate it. I think it goes something like this:

Blitz (wallrush) > Sephiroth assist > Thunderfall > Sephiroth assist > Thunderfall > (Infinite)

It's probably a Reset, just like Cecil's Searchlight Assist Chain Reset, which can be done infinitely if the opponent continues to recover.

It seems like it's just the Army of One>Thunderfall combo, where it only works if the AI doesn't have Controlled recovery. I'm not sure about this though, since I haven't tested it myself.

Army of One to Thunder works. Adds extra damage and extra EX Force. Timing is strict however.

Hmm, that looks extremely situational as for the fact you'd most likely need a wall for that combo to work.

Walls don't make it "extremely" situational. You'd be surprised at how often you end up fighting near a wall. Moreover, depending on the character's falling speed and recovery animation, it's actually possible to perform it in an open air environment.

Hmmm, well, you do have a point on that. But that really does depend on what you just said. You mentioned both a character's falling speed and recovery animation. If they recover then the combo is invalid correct? However if they are falling due to an attack yet can't recover immediately then the combo should be valid. Well this all depends on the character, this might be a useful thing for Lightning then.

Army of one is a chase attack (which push enemy far away) so only very small space can you do that

Which is why they suggested doing it near walls so as to not push them away that far.

(^ I dunno with you guys, but that sounded WRONG.)
