I find OK a great assist for Squall. I really feel at ease with him.
Weird but true: he's as strong as Jecht!! And in open midair I think he's even better 'cause he has time to complete his whole attack before your coming Rough Divide.
He can provide Beat Fang > Assist > Thunder Barrett combos; Assist > Aerial Circle > Assist chase to protect your bravery; and Assist chase to Aerial Circle seems to work.
The only thing he can't do is take the opponent from the air to the ground, like Jecht does, but guess it's not such a problem.
Those combos with Comet and Blade Torrent are stupid though, I put them just for fun XP

Thanks for the video footage. Can't say that he'll be replacing Jecht, since Jecht provides for a lot of damage potential if he can finish his aerial brave completely. However, OK seems to do a much better job providing double HP attacks from BF > wallrush, which is excellent, and seems to be much more reliant than Sephiroth. And if wallrush isn't there, Squall can always link into aerial RD, which is what, I believe, will make or break an assist for Squall.
Thanks for the vids, Corde. Awesome job, as always.

True, Jecht is Jecht. His brave combo potential is surely superior, especially from TB > SB 4th hit > Assist, and from the air in stages with lot of floor.
To tell you the truth, I started searching for someone else just because Jecht tends to be easely punished in the middle of his combo if the opponent retaliates after Assist Change. Same problem with OK though, but it occurs less often.

Sorry to bug everyone again, but It seems like I'm doing worse with squall as I level up, I've been trying to find a new char lately but I suck with everything. I'm like in a hole, I can't make up my mind.
You shouldnt give up on your Main! All you need to do is keep practicing, and play some real people, and you'll get better at using him in no time, and you can always ask people for tips. ^.^
My friend that recently bought the game is starting to beat me, and He is using Tidus btw. My squall lacks the range to counter tidus's.
That's exactly my problem, heh.
Just try to stick with Squall and Squall only for now. The more frequent you use him, the better you get.
And for the Tidus matchup.. Tidus doesn't really have much range, so you shouldn't have much trouble with him. If your friend is using him right, Hopstep is your main threat (double hit quick attack). His dodge attacks aren't that troubling, since a simple block or dodge can take care of them. And lastly, his "sliding" attacks and HP attacks can punish your dodges, so try not to dodge so much against Tidus either.
In short, stay on your feet, and watch for that Hopstep.

Im not that experience in fighting Tidus (person) but I have fought a great Tidus mainer back on Dissidia 1, my only tips to you is not to block Hopstep since it can execute simultaneously and if you block you'll get hit on the 2nd one.... try to block his other dodge atks since most of his dodge skills have a cue so you can time it there, try to practice on AI to learn the timing...
And try staying on the ground ^_^
