Is there anything that can be done about a ceiling camping Empy though?

Spyder should be able to tell you the details as he was Tifa and does play her a lot but I can say something as being an Emperor. I would think the most annoying thing for Emperor in those matches was the Aerith Assist. It was at times difficult dealing with Aerith's Holy and it forced me down. And going towards the ground and/or Aerith (while forced) puts Emperor at disadvantage against Tifa. I had to resort to using Aerith as well to protect myself at times using her Planet Protector. I was running FAD as emperor, and that made it easier to go after Aeirith but Tifa can put pressure on Emperor when Aerith's Holy is being cast. Player running OAD would have a lot of trouble against Aerith as Emperor. And being on the ground is suicide against Tifa as Emperor, or at-least I felt that way. Anyway my Emperor is fresh so I may be unaware of other techniques. From what it stands it seems that Emperor can be sloppy in this fight and get away with it, although that can change.

I see. It seemed like most of the time you had to hope she would manoeuvre herself in the way of a flare or you could get close enough to pull out another flare. Is punishing holy really so luck oriented as it looks for The Emperor?

I certanily found that useful to watch.

Not 100% sure from the one(?)time I saw it in the replay but it would seem that Moonsault->Chase->Aerith could work similarly to Cloud's Double Cut ->Chase->Aerith and Cecil's Sacred Cross->Chase->Aerith. If it does work as such, I might only run Aerith in afew select MU's myself.

And of course Holy would appear to do a good job of making Emp come to youpraise the lord. I need to see about this myself as well. Again, thanks for the upload.

There's not much Tifa can do against a ceiling camping Emperor inside a flare. All she can really hope for is to get Emperor with her Rolling Blaze which has minimal horizontal tracking in the air, and being it her only options, makes her predictable. It's not even a safe option to use in the midst of well placed Dreary Cells. Tifa's approach requires her to do everything she can to stop Emperor from deploying all that he needs--activating Dreary Cells through dash, getting in a few brave attacks in and maybe a lucky Rolling Blaze, which is unlikely.

However, once Tifa has height advantage, she has a much easier time interrupting Emperor's attacks and punishing his setups, and Tifa must capitalize on this whenever she can. Landing that Rolling Blaze that forces Emperor half way down the map can essentially mean the difference between winning and losing. Aerith is used to force Emperor from the ceiling whenever possible to create more of these openings.

Edit: Oh, also. Emperor doesn't have a hard time hitting Aerith with Flare, but Tifa can protect her quite well with RB. In those matches, I should've went straight down near the ground, to shower Emperor with Blizzagas and protect Aerith with ground RB.

Yeah. MK > Aerith > Chase > HP attack is possible. It's difficult to time, but from what I experienced in the past, the HP attack is not necessary in the chase. You need to call in Aerith at the last part of the second hit of MK and enter chase as soon as possible. If you delay chase by a moment, Aerith will miss. When you get the chance to try out the assist in other matchups, let me know how it goes. I'm curious.

Interesting matches. I liked what I saw! Perhaps boosted Intial BRV, BBoD, or Iai could help Tifa combat the Emperor. Aerith Assist seems the way to go imo.

I present to you the two matches I had with ChaosMuramasa in a FT5 team challenge. The first video is of Light vs Squall and the second one is of Gabranth vs Squall. Both matches are epic in their own rights although there are mistakes made on both of our parts but it is funny that I only spotted them after editing these videos. Regardless of these errors the matches resulted in a very enjoyable experience for me as well as made them look epic.
