Info on Vaan moves

*1 It does random damage, the first 6 hits random between 1~2, the last hit randoms between 1~13, hence the (min~max) as shown
*2 The first 4 hits do random damage like normal version, between 1~5 each
*3 First hit: non/half charged=Melee Low, full charged=Melee Mid. Second hit always Melee Mid.
*4 The tornado stays on field for around 4 sec (240F+)

A note on (Switch) Katana, you will not want to do the second O input early, or the big damage (30) hit won't come out. Even without the last hit, it is already Vaan's strongest BRV attack (42), but if you missed the big damage, the most you could get would be (20). I would say risk on missing the last hit, rather than risk on missing the big hit


And on the random damage on the his Axe, is it the characteristic of FFXII's axe? As I heard Gilgamesh's Axe is from FFXII too. I havn't played XII XD

Yeah, axes from FFXII tend to have wild damage variances. I'm not too surprised that most of his Melee switch skills are Melee Mid priority. :3

Glitch for Vaan:
As you know, Vaan goes back to unarmed after a chase normally. But with "Auto Chase" equipped, he will do a normal version of the attach as if he is still holding the weapon that initiated the chase, even he is holding NO weapon. So for example:

No Auto Chase:
Sword and Shield > chase > chase end > [Vaan holds no weapon] Sword and Shield (Switch)

With Auto Chase:
Sword and Shield > chase > chase end > [Vaan holds no weapon] Sword and Shield (normal)


It won't affect if you use another weapon though:
With or without Auto Chase:
Sword and Shield > chase > chase end > [Vaan holds no weapon] Katana (Switch)

Oh what happens if you use an HP attack right after the chase end? Can you still do the Normal attack or will it change to Switch attack?
