I don't think Lai works on Exdeath very well. I believe (believe, may be wrong, correct me if I am) Lai counts on every individual hit. Exdeath uses heavy one or two hit moves, so Lai has a really low chance of anything. Someone like Onion Knight on the other hand has a MUCH better use of it cause he hits you a million times. Exdeath also has great defense (second only to Chaos, tied with WoL) so it hurts his strength while not working well with his style... if you like it that's fine, I just don't think Exdeath is the best user is all. He's probably the least afraid of BRV moves out of anybody, so you could have something going.
Most of Exdeath's damage is magical, so I'd say trade Hyper Ring for Earring. Swords Dance and RP are the only physical attacks he has.
But tbh, I generally break people like harmless insects with a SbS+power build and Jecht
Hyper Ring+Earring, 10.3x (maximum) multiplier, and Judgement of Lufenia for the depletion.
Actually, question of my own. Are Assists affected by damage accessories/multipliers? I might actually get more out of Kuja if that's the case.
Iai Strike only triggers on the first hit on every attack, if it triggers at all. Iai Strike is basically more useful the weaker your attacks are.
There were some tests done on this, they are not, despite triggering depletion on assist HP hits.

Alright. For the Kefka matchup, get rid of Black Hole and use Shell Guard. Shell Guard is like cheating vs. Kefka. Then you can use his counter Vacuum Wave for Aeris shenanigans and pressure.
As for Omni Blocking Kuja's HP attacks, it's practice. Lots of practice.

After 30 seconds activates, you'll be at x6.3 while Aerial is active. Without Aerial, you'll be at x4.2. With everything active, you'll have a massive amount of EX depletion and a fair amount of Assist Depletion.
My reasoning for Seal of Lufenia is that Exdeath is really weak vs. any player who camps EX Cores or uses chase to accumulate massive amounts of EX. While using Maelstrom to keep them from getting EX Cores is good, you need to deplete as much of their EX as you can every time you get a hit in.

These are tourney videos. They encompass DDFF tourneys and the Ragnarok tourney, which was DFF. I hope you can learn things from them.![]()
