Firion Assist Combo

I don't know if I'm the first to find this out but first of all you MUST need Descend Speed Boost so you can go back to the ground ASAP.

Basically the combo follows as: Any attack that follows up with Double Trouble -> Cecil Assist -> Descend back to the ground by double tapping X -> Reel Knife to Double Trouble.

I'm vaguely surprised to say it, but this should really become the official Firion Assist Combo thread, seeming as there isn't one :P

It has to be said though that most assist combos are pretty generic, Attack > Assist > Attack sort of deals. In this case though you've discovered how to do a combo that otherwise would be impossible. It might help to know that normally if you want to hold an oppoent on the ground then the Emperor or Sephiroth make great assists and open you up for all sorts of combos.

Hm, since more people are willing to contribute with Firion assist combos, I might post a new thread for a general assist discussion + combo lists on the first post later (not now because it's late here). I don't want to loldoublepost, just facilitate organization.

On that note, I'll watch the video later; I'm just giving a quick look at the forums before I crash. Just asking if anyone objects to this or something.

It might be worth it. The problem we often have is when someone who isn't going to be online alot makes the thread and then if we want it updated a Mod has to do it. It makes sense to have one of the most avid Firion stalkers players updating the thread.

Hmm, interesting. I'll test out Emperor and Sephy later on today then to see anymore combos. I myself don't use Firion but seeing how his ground game is better, I realized that Descend Speed Boost would be beneficial for him.

Nope. I don't have it on me.

Anyways, great finding, I could see it being a much safer way of landing a 2nd DT as opposed to the strict timing that most assists tend to have, but at the expense of the first DT being a hold em up, which I am not particularly fond of. More testing to be done when I come back from dreamland.

Already, finally watched the video.

Hmm, interesting... But I wonder if comboing off of a Double Trouble would do more damage than comboing off of lance followup. The knockdown distance seems to be about the same. Then again, even if it did, I equip Jump Times Boost+ so I may not be able to get back the ground on time... Unless Descent Speed Boost is not needed.

(Before someone says "why do you use Jump Times Boost on Firion, you noob?!", I use it for better manueverability due to usually non-resetable jumps)
