Na that was me tofu. As I said earlier, my distance/range was off because I was playing too much Zidane because of the "Dissidence" tournament. Any type of style that bartz has will require Holy. Of course Bartz can rip through attacks with Slide Hazzard (Magic for sure) but against characters like Zidane there isn't much you can do but tech read a dodge.

btw, bartz could guard and punish zidane, especially one that spams swift atk since that zidane in the vid seemed to be desperately trying to land swift atk

Ya, I know I could have guarded that is why I saved it at the end to punish him. What I mean by tech reading a dodge is basically attacking when you think they are going to do a dodge frame.

both of bartz's other brave attacks aren't too hard to guard on reaction, especially when there's lag. In the game where I won, I guarded most, if not all of his attacks. Thats why he rarely used anything other than holy the second game.

Bartz has a ground game.... But since people SPAM HOLY they baw about his other attacks. Try again.

I don't think Bartz's ground game is that great if your opponent can avoid/counter a reel axe...though I may be missing something since I havn't played Bartz much.
