Default What assist do you use with you're laguna?

Same as topic, just explain why you use it and where it comes most handy.

Also to add, if you have any videos showing of your assist and how you use it please feel free to post. Just make sure it's Short and Sweet, because I am pretty sure no one wants to watch 8 or more minute videos of someone just trying to show off their assist.

PVP matches are also greatly appreciated too!

    Kuja.

Just can't be bothered to try anyone else, Kuja suits me too well. He gives me a lot of options after wall rush. Snatch Blow will usually lead into Satellite Beam, but I try to hit with Ricochet Shot sometimes during the attack, if I am close enough. Strike Energy leads into Satellite Beam, Pummel or Ragnarok Blade. I have yet to explore all options.

I generally use emperor because he's helpful to laguna in so many ways especially if you play a land turtle game style like me.

    Some examples:

Thunder crest: one of the best things about this move is that if you're opponent were to call an assist and that assist got into the circle the assist would be locked out, with out thunder crest activating. also to add on since laguna is all about his ground game and punish game this is even better if you were to use it as a punish after a dodge from a close range attack. one combo i usually do is satellite laser-->thunder crest-->electroshield. or if i catch them on a dodge punish i would do thunder crest-->electroshield-->ragnarok buster.

Mine: good to use as a punish for long recovery moves like hp attacks like clouds meteo rain for example, only downside is can't really combo after a wall rush. have not really experimented with it that much

Flare (ground): really good to use to add pressure on the opponent, also if you have snooze and lose on and spam satellite laser from a SAFE distance it can be a very big problem for them. still experimenting with it.

Flare (air): In my opinion pretty useless. You be better off just sticking with ground flare.

Still testing out some stuff so if anyone has anymore combos with this assist feel free to add on.

i use jecht as my assist

ground attack: satellite beam while jecht is about to hit them into the air

midair: halfway thru jecht rush i use ragnarok blade or when jecht slams them to the ground i use ragnarok blaster or machine gun them.

I usually equip Aerith as an assist to anyone who has hp attacks that can miss easily (examples Laguna and Kain) because she can use that..I think it was called Seal Evil move that (most of the time) traps your opponent in some bubble thing. There, I can use my HP attack or with Kain, use my Jump hp move.

Gabranth, at least for his ground assist, his aerial one really sucks. And with this is what I pull off with EXP to BRV.
    Missile Barrage -> Sticky Bomb -> S. Laser -> Assist -> S.Bomb during assist -> S. Laser -> Carbuncle/Calabrina -> Assist -> S. Bomb during assist -> S. Laser/R. Buster. Now don't tell me that's really satisfying to pull off.

    Zidane.

Laguna is one of the few characters that can actually work well with many different assists. For me, Zidane's Free Energy is a great surprise punishing attack. And the Zidane assist goes well with Satellite Beam, once you get the timing right.
    So say we all.

lol funny i started to use this assist in one of my other builds today, and i also got agree with you on the assist thing man. i think his play style would be the punishing type since he deals so much brave damage on a counter attack. i literally break my opponent if he has at least below 1200 brave with my emperor assist on, while the off.(skill) rule is on.
