Yeah, I usually play with an Assist build, but it freezes EX, and Gil's exmode is pretty good, maybe one of the best. I noticed that in your vid you both acquired ex, while having no troble in filling assist gauge.

Experimented a lot, and found the ultimate Gil's Assist: Kain Highwind.
It has a peculiarity: he can both floor wall rush (air assist), and activate Assist chase (ground), and thus, is perfect for gil, that requires this.
It gives you three solid brv assist combos, while it gives you 4 HP assist combos, and calculating also the various possibilities (ex. Hurricane/Sword Dance after 1 combo, etc.), a total of 7, for all the situations.
I've switched immediately my assist to kain.

    -Assist BRV Combos (Kain)

Electrocute > Assist (air) > Floor Wall rush > Electrocute > Tsubamegaeshi
Electrocute > Tsubamegaeshi > Floor Wall rush > Assist (ground) > Assist Chase > Tsubamegaeshi
Electrocute > Tsubamegaeshi > Floor Wall rush > Assist (ground) > Assist Chase > Whirlwind Slash

    -Assist HP Combos (Kain)

Electrocute > Assist (air) > Floor Wall rush > While Kain attacks > Missile/Rocket punch (if on ground)
Electrocute > Assist (air) > Floor Wall rush > Sword Dance/Hurricane
Electrocute > Tsubamegaeshi > Floor Wall rush > Assist (ground) > Assist Chase > Hurricane/ Sword Dance
Electrocute > Assist (air) > Floor Wall rush > Electrocute > Hurricane (if enemy is above you)

I found only just one problem: how'd you suppose to land Electrocute as a combo starter? Even AI can Dodge it. No offence there...

And if that's the case, then Squall could be the perfect Assist too: Solid Barrel deals nice DMG and has Chase properties. And Heel Crush can Wall/Floor Rush... Also Garland...

If you call Kain in the exact moment electrocute damages the opponent, he'll surely take him, I've tested it a lot.
Anyway, i think Kain is best cause his aerial brv assist has a pretty long animation, that allows Gil to use Missile without possibilities of missing the opponent.

Yeah, but I guess you misunterstood the question. How you'd suppose/plan to connect Electrocute? I think that Electrocute should be used as an ADA, because if you plan to use it as a combo starter, you'll have few chances to connect, due to being an "easy-to-Dodge" move...

Following this criterion, there are no possible combos. Electrocute is an amazing punisher, and thus is to bo used with attenction, or as a poke, so that the enemy dodging abuse, to punish inattentive dodges with Tsubamegaeshi.
Also, the same should be said for Electrocute > Tsubamegaeshi, or Electrocute > Hurricane, if we follow your criterion.
If Electrocute strikes, it's a good option to call in Kain, to make a safe and sure HP attack.

For example, pick Terra. You punish Sancta with Electrocute and, after that, you've only to use assist in the exact moment the enemy is thrown up.

Personally, I find Kuja the best (I know, shocking isn't it) but for good reason!

My combo is Electrocute > Tsubamegaeshi > Assist (after ground Wall Rush from Tsubamegaeshi) > Tsubamegaeshi (immediately after the initial connection of Kuja's ground attack) > Assist Chase > Electrocute>Tsubamegaeshi/Tsubamegaeshi/Hurricane

Personally I go with just Tsubamegaeshi after assist chase just to be safe, but Electrocute > Tsubamegaeshi DOES work.
