From what I can tell, yes. I was testing to see which recipes I didn't have yet and apparently I got some previously so when I checked my inventory I had two.

maximillian has the same hp stats as bone mail, but with a 20% physical atk boost.
i'm guessing bone mail has not much use except as a quick replacement before farming for maximillian.

Maximillian is +20% Physical Defence boost, not attack.

not sure if u guys notice yet, but there's new passwords for the US ver.
some notable items are the genji set and excalibur II, as equipments on those friend cards
