Well first thing wasn't it R=U the theory being that Ultimecia is Rinoa's future self?! It is a theory been going around for years, i find it stupid personally.
Also A=U would be Ultimecia is Adel...which is a bit weird.

Well anyway it is the most annoying and long lived debates in Final Fantasy History if i am honest....

I don't think that Adel = Ultimecia per se, all we know was that Adel was once a Sorceress with a kind heart that went insane.

I'd rather thing that Ultimecia controlled Adel like Ultimecia did with Edea and Rinoa, which was why she wanted to go back into the past to begin with... maybe.

By the way I STILL to this day hate R=U.

Don't design what you want, you have to design what the players want, and what the players want and what you want are probably not the same thing.

So it's probably because of this very reason why Omega Weapon is easier compared to previous superbosses?

Because I kinda disliked that part. Then again...
