This thread is solely dedicated to the discussion of possible MU ratios for The Emperor against other characters. The MU we start with should be either Warrior of Light and work our way up the Final Fantasy series list (Final Fantasy I, Final Fantasy II, etc..), or a unanimous decision by the community as to which MU is more important for Mateus. So, hopefully we can get this thread going and try to get as much MU intel to help better The Emperor's game in competitive play.
How about we begin by one of his most horrid matchups before? Terra, for example.
The other two bad match-ups I can think of are Kuja and Ulti.
D012 Mains - Onion Knight, Kuja, Tidus, Zidane, Bartz.
D012 Subs - Vaan, Sephiroth, Cloud, Squall, Laguna.

"Those of you who volunteered to be injected with praying mantis DNA, I have some good news and some bad news: bad news is we've postponed these test indefinitely. Good news is we've got a much better test for you: fighting an army of mantis men! Pick up a rifle and follow the yellow line." -Cave Johnson.
Back in Dissidia, it was so, yes. But it changed.
Terra, for example, Most of her attacks which were horrible for the Emperor before are rendered useless: Holy, Blizzara, Thundara, Fire, Meteor. Thank you Starfall. She only got two other brave moves: Blizzard Combo which requires Terra to be next to the Emperor and Graviga which is, well... very bad. Due to assists, her HP game became pretty subpar, Flood isn"t very useful, Meltdown is easy to punish if you have assists (its cooldown is more important now). Tornado seems pretty good for her, but you have Dreary Cell on your side, which can activate and hit Terra through.
^ This.
The Emperor's buffs has given him a huge advantage over most projectile users, and Terra's once great MU against Mateus has been heavily nerfed because of Starfall's new Magic Block mechanic. If anything, I'd give the MU a 7-3 in The Emperor's favor.
To answer en0ch, we're looking for all mattch-up data to know where The Emperor stands as far a potential goes.
Yes, a solid 7-3 for Terra, I think. It might go to 8-2 after test, but it's certainly not 6-4. Starfall's buff is far too huge for Terra, and kills her Brave game (which was already greatly nerfed). I think the same goes for Kefka. Starfall can block LST, ZPT,ECF, another blizzard move I forgot by itself. SSB's big ice chunk isn't blockable, but the shards are. WWF might be blockable, but hiding behind a Red Flare is advised. Trine is crap, it's avoidable by simpling moving away while charging Starfall. Havoc Wing is more useful, but with a Dreary Cell coupled to Red Flare, Kefka can destroy the Flare but will get hit by the other trap. Forsaken Null takes a lot of time to come at you, and Hyperdrive is slow as well, and is cancelable with assists.
Kefka is pretty much the same as Terra, only slighty more dangerous because more random. It's still MUCH easier than before.
7:3 for Emperor:Terra is laughable. You really can't downplay blizzard combo like that, if he's not standing in a trap when she uses it then there isn't anything he can do. Plus he's absolutely raped by fire, it's just fast enough to punish most of his attacks. Plus you've completely missed out assists, obviously anyone with assists has a massive advantage against the Emperor, but Terra in particular has long range AND assists.
Plus, Graviga bad? Graviga is not only unblockable but still quicker than Starfall and moves fast enough to get away from Blue Flares.
Frankly, give her a physical assist (Sephiroth, Cloud or Jecht for example) and there is no way in hell that it's a bad matchup for Terra.

The Emperor can be in the air when fighting Terra. I thought i shoudn't have to precise that Graviga is the easiest attack to punish in the whole game. Just use assists and she can't move her finger. Not only it requires Terra to be on the ground to cast it, but it also takes 3 astonishing seconds before it comes down. If the Emperor casts Starfall when you are in the air, you will have to descend then cast the spell. It will take a long time, and it's usable only if he doesn't have his assist gauge filled (and the Emperor is among the best assist builders in the whole game, so saying he's really bad against assists is stupid).
Also, saying she has long range attacks doesn't mean she has the advantage. Blizzara, Fire, Meteor, Thundara and Holy are blockable by Starfall itself. Blizzard Combo is insanely short ranged, and if the Emperor is standing into any trap he has, forget about it. Tornado will easily fall into dreary cells. Meltdown is punishable with assists and can backfire on Terra if the Emperor counters it with Bombard. It's also counterable with assists. The Emperor has pretty safe moves to manage to avoid assist punishers, TC is really hard to punish now, as well as his mines and Dreary Cells. Her options are very risky against Starfall, not to forget that Red Flares are good anti-assists.
