    Default Learning to Jecht.

Basically, I love Jecht. He's got cool moves, he's ueber powerful, his low CP cost is awesome and his new costume is the sex.

The problem is, try as I might I still can't do his combos. So I wanted to ask, how did all you awesome Jecht players out there get used to doing his attacks? For example, are there sound cues or is it a rhythm thing or w/ever?

I'm not sure if this thread is entirely necessary so feel free to move it to the general discussion if that's what is best.

Sound Cues and Visual cues. I use them both to time his combos.

Go practice vs. Exdeath with a training ring and Maelstorm as his sole Ability, no block no dodges, nothing. Try it especially at the Edge of Madness or Phantom Train, as it's small and lots of opportunities to practice. Minimal Difficulty better.

    Does this video help?

    Spoiler:

Now, I'm not saying you should ignore fryman79's advice, as his advice is very good take it, and then just use this vid to know WHEN to hit O/[] and practice until it is muscle memory or even better practice with a friend when both of you have a low brave, low-ok damage build so that you randomly break each-other so you can get practice with keeping the combo going with interruptions.

Hope this helps cookies, its fun to play Jecht

EDIT: Darn two posted before me, one with a vid :-\

EDIT2: Oh yah, forgot to mention the guy probably used the EX ruleset for this, and because of this the time is increased for EXR, just a heads up about how that don't work

That video is actually pretty helpful. The whole video stopping thing is really annoying though :P

I recommend you look at zellchaver's guide on YouTube, it includes audio cues, that's the video that helped me learn anyway. I also recommend focusing on one combo, don't do them all at the same time or else you'll forget. TIP:when you do the aerial combos, when you press O after he does the two kicks, when his second leg is going back down, click O again. When getting the timing down for the aerial triumphant grasp combo, after the two slashes are completed, IMMEDIATELY press the button you have triumphant Grasp assigned to, the timing is very strict. For me, the easiest combo to learn was the ultimate jecht shot. Maybe I should try to write a guide to Jecht combos

The biggest thing with Jecht's moves is patience! Even if you press the next circle a split second earlier, he'll just go into chase. Also, make sure you let him complete each string and audio cue.

I'll just use some of his aerial Jecht streams as an example:

    Hee Haa "O" How's that? "O" There's More;Don't Cry now!!!
    or
Hee Haa "O" How's that? "O" There's More "HP ATTACk" HEEEEEEE HAAAAAA GET LOST!!! (Triumph Grasp)

    Excuse my laughable examples above.lol.
