I've done the former and simply haven't tried to do the latter. Why don't you try it yourself, since Hollowed, who is certainly more knowledgeable about Tidus than you are, says it's possible, instead of requesting proof simply because you can't do it yourself? I mean, it's pretty obvious that someone like Lightning can do it with Thunder you know. It's not that unbelievable that there might be other methods too.

To be honest what Hollowed said seems pretty reasonable from my perspective. Slice&Dice has amazing tracking that follows the opponent even after the assist change. That strength can also be a weakness. The tracking puts Tidus around the same plane as the opponent towards the end of the animation. With proper timing and dodging Tidus would be vunerable toward the end of the animation which can lead to a counter by any character with a quick strike(Lightning's a good example) or character's with moves that track well. As for Jecht Shot I have some questions for Hollowed(not because I don't believe it but I would like some things clarified). This is a good thing for players to test. It will really make me rethink how I approach fights.

It does seem like it's possible to counter pretty much all of Tidus' HP attacks now that I think about it. If only he had an attack like Free Energy x3
Let's just all agree that Tidus is simply, a boss.
This I can agree on.
*shrugs* Just thought I'd throw it out there. I figure it was better than just knocking the idea. At least it inspired some discussion/testing and hopefully gave a Setzer some help. However, I believe I'll think twice before trying to give advice to anyone in the future. I want to help but I need more skill I guess.
edit: This is a bit off topic now isn't it? We should get back to discussing builds

Drop Wither Shot for Full Slide, and drop CP somewhere for a ground dodge attack + Quick Hit link and either Sonic Buster or Sphere Shot.

Also, with Hop Step into Aerith chase combos, you'll probably get EX Mode at least twice a fight (assuming your enemy is providing you a decent battle). That being said, Pre EX Mode and Pre EX Revenge may or may not hinder you, depending on whether or not you actually plan on saving your EX Gauge for that long. If you don't, I would recommend HP Under 50% (Self) and maybe another After 30 Seconds.
