Bartz's strategy is just to spam Holy and HP attacks, then catch the opponent off guard and attack. Going defensive on ground and pull of as much Fire in the field may be useful.
Adding another, Golbez wtf. ._. Going against Golbez is hard, especially on an experienced one.

I think Cloud outplays Laguna really bad. I got done so badly against one.
I think it's just because Cloud's sliding attack on the ground is enough to go through most of Laguna's ground attacks, and Cloud can move vertically very fast, which is Laguna's weakness (Halo camping)
Anyway, just my opinion for that one.
Golbez isn't that bad, especially now that he's been nerfed. Cloud also has the aerial double cut, and meteorain. G2g for now.
I just want to chime in and say that Bartz does indeed have the disadvantage vs Cloud.
Tips vs Bartz:
-Try to take the battle into the air, your aerial game i a lot stronger than his. Double Cut's higher speed can let you spam it and bait Bartz into getting punished by a Braver or a Slashing Blow. Bartz will run away from Cloud or play defensive so use this towards your advantage.
-Holy Spamming has been rendered useless in DDFF, just dash towards him and make the appropriate stops to block it.
-On the ground, Bartz will try to outspace Cloud with Hellfire / Dark Flame shenanigans, so you should predict that and use Sonic Break on the cool down.
I've played Nero a fair amount of times so I "think" this info is valid. Its not a good matchup for Bartz
My best match vs Nero

Though problem is if Cloud is relentlessly dashing towards a grounded Golbez, Cloud eat a Nightglow from him. Meteorain works here unless they have assist(or you know their assist is Emperor or something)

Cloud vs Bartz is in no way a favorable matchup for Bartz. Assuming the fight is all aerial, Cloud's Double Cut can murder Bartz alone.

Do you Cloud mains have any tips us Bartz mains? I know I should try and take the match into the ground and play defensively in the air. Anything else?

Tidus isn't actually all that bad for Cloud either.
Also, nice video Starwave, good to have some actual data :3
I'm not sure there's much to say for a Bartz mainer, get used to blocking before Cloud gets the chance to hit you with DC, don't use assist change during Omni V5, it's only safe to block Firaga at the end of its range, if they use fire don't go near it.
That help?

How come Cookies that Tidus isn't a bad matchup for Cloud? Double cut?

May I ask why is that? Because as far as I'm concerned (regardless of if I'm using Firion, Bartz or any other character,) assist changing during Omnislash v.5 is actually a good thing. It's just a matter of dodging right after assist changing to avoid Cloud's tracking during it. It'll leave Cloud wide open as he Omnislashes the air for a good while. For example, when I'm Firion, I can land a Straightarrow everytime I do this. With Bartz, I may land a Holy -> Flare, or dash-in Rush Impact.
Of course, doing this becomes unsafe when Cloud has an assist gauge himself.
